WITTZ END was created to assist our older citizens and their families with downsizing from the family home when the time comes. Often our valued older citizens are too overwhelmed or they are in a comfort zone that they do not want to move from. However, there comes a time when for their safety and the peace of mind of their families they should downsize.
There are many reasons why a senior or their family would hire a move manager such as:
- No children and extended family
- Family does not live in the area
- Too busy
- Physically too demanded on senior and family
These and others are all valid reasons why families look to hire Senior Move Managers.
Senior Move Managers will do as much or as little that is needed like;
- Being the families eyes, ears, and on-site representative
- Sorting through the attic, basement, and garage to determine what should be trash, donated, sold, given to family, or moved
- Be on-site for repairmen, inspections, or moving estimates
- On-site during packing, on moving day, and at local destination
- Unpack, make bed, and remove debris from new home.
These are just a few of many services a senior move manager can provide.
I tell my clients that you did not accumulate all of your stuff overnight, and it is not going to magically disappear with the wave of a magic wand. That being said, downsizing is a time consuming process, requiring patience and stamina. I am a Realtor and I had a condo listed for sale and Claire was hired to do what she does so well. She went above and beyond the expectations of the client who hired her. Claire took great care of this client and did a lot of personal/extra things for her that most people in Claires industry would not even think of doing. Claire is a very caring and hard working lady who does a great job for her clients and takes excellent care of them. I would recommend her to anyone who is need of her services.

I have always known that when the time came, Wittz End would be one of my first calls. The plan to move my mother to assisted living was delayed due to a death in my family. Talk about throwing a monkey wrench into already difficult planning... things were not going well. But I knew I could depend on Claire. I have no idea how we could have pulled off the move without her. We have a lot more work to do (cleaning out my mother's house), but we are off to a great start. Claire of Wittz End is dependable and thorough. When you are dealing with a sensitive issue (such as relocating a parent), it is very difficult to remember everthing that has to be done. Claire kept us on track, she asked all the right questions, and came up with solutions. Incredible service. I am looking completing the project with Wittz End's help.
