The Waterton nursing home is a new nursing home in Tyler built about three years ago. I have visited this nursing home approximately 25-30 times over the past three years. The Waterton is decorated quite lavishly in comparison to other nursing homes. It definately does not look like a nursing home. Though it is not necessarily a large nursing home, it appears very spacious. The Waterton has a second story that is not in use at this time. One of the positive features this nursing home has is that it has its own dialysis unit next door. For people who require dialysis, this is an invaluable service. Dialysis can be very difficult and draining for those with kidney failure and having a dialysis facility next door is ideal. Moreover, I noticed that there are good activities in place for residents to join. I would rate The Waterton a "four out of five" and would trust its care to a loved one.
