St Camillus Residential Health

My experience with St. Camillus was when my mother stayed there after a stroke. The facility was always clean and staff was very friendly. The rooms were a little small, but certainly workable. The grounds are well-kept and there are nice wide wheelchair accessible paths throughout the area. The facility owns its own vehicles for transportation to appointments, and outings.All in all I believe that this was a good facility. My only complaints would be call bell response and food quality. Sometimes it would take staff 10 minutes to complete a call. And residents were not satisfied with the food quality or variety. My mother was happy with her stay at St. Camillus. She enjoyed the activities and she had a nice comraderie with the staff. I would recommend this home to family and friends.

A close friend of my family had to stay at this facility to recuperate after double hip replacement surgery. She also received her physical therapy there. The stay was very nice. She had modern amenities, although no wireless internet, I believe. The staff was friendly and helpful. She was given plenty of supplies to take home. Checking in and out was very easy. The woman who checked her out was very detailed in her home care instructions. We were very pleased with her physical therapy as an outpatient after she was released. The facility provides a bus service that picked her up and dropped her off, since she couldn't drive. They were very timely and comfortable. The only drawback was that the cost was approximately $2.50 each way and exact change was required, with payment upon entrance. She had a much quicker recovery time than anyone expected. We were very pleased over all and would certainly choose this facility again or recommend it to someone else.
