I visited this facility

This is an acute care facility because there is no Hospital within 10 miles of Generations. The staff is exceptional and exhibit that they are well educated in their fields. The facility is state of the art and has ST/PT and OT is all on staff and aid in the healing and betterment of the patient’s quality of life. There is a Memory care unit with specifically trained staff in the care of Memory patients. There is a wondergard for those who like to wonder around. The facility is very clean and the rooms are standard size. The staff is very attentive and they make sure the patients are clean, bright and alert. I did not observe anyone that seemed to be over medicated. This was important to me. The staff does an excellent job in keeping the seniors active. The staff plans games, such as Bridge, Dominos, Chess tournaments and movie days. There is also an exercise class that is conducted for all abilities. The grounds are well groomed and maintained. This is a delightful environment for those who have no choice to be here. The staff does what they can do to make their time here as pleasant as possible in between the serious medical work. Some of the patients I spoke with said that the staff here treats them as family and they feel safe and secure. The menu is standard fair but is planned with healthy options and choices. The staff and patients said the food is amazing and it looked tasty what I did see. I was impressed with all I observed and I highly recommend this facility.
