I am a friend or relative of resident
My mother came to this facility after being in The Mews (a nursing facility) next door. She had broken her hip and now needed more intensive care. No nursing facility is perfect, so this one has its flaws and you need to constantly check on the care that your loved one receives, but it has a sufficient and friendly staff, reasonably good, sometimes excellent food, and I've found that most of its employees genuinely care for the residents. The activities schedule varies, but usually some activity is offered almost every day. One negative is that the facility needs more supervision on weekends, and care suffers for the lack of it. While my mother was here I became friends with some of the residents, and still visit some of them, and they seem reasonably happy. The bathrooms are between the two-occupant rooms, and so are shared by four persons, but the rooms are spacious, with a built-in dresser with mirror, and privacy between room occupants is provided by movable curtains on a track. I have never seen any problems with insects or other pests. The facility is old, but well maintained. Not perfect, but you could do far worse.
