Emeritus At San Dimas

This place is the best you will ever get!!!! The nursing staff is beyond nice and helpful. The therapists actually do therapy and work to get patients to reach their max capabilities! The place is very clean and never smells when you walk in the patients are not only taken care of but are encouraged to be up and involved in activities and taken to dining room. All the patients are very mobile regardless of their condition if they are unable to be self mobile then nurses will take them to the activities. I am shocked that anyone could find a negative thing to say and if they do they must have never been to any other facility. Comparing this facility to others is like comparing a 5 star resort to a 1 star resort this place would be rated a 5 star to us. The food is really good not like other places and they have a very big menu to choose from that is available everyday! My grandmother stayed here and I have to say when I get older in age and need nursing care I would have no problem going to this place! The rooms are like staying in a marriott very nice with wood floors. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a assisted living or nursing care. My grandmother was in here for rehabilitation therapy in the skilled nursing side and was able to go home after about 7 weeks.

Emeritus San Dimas sets the standard also for Emeritus run Senior Living facilities. This is a very nice place and shows just how committed the staff and company are to serving Seniors needs. They offer a very active calender for the residents and offer transportaion to the residents for outside events and shopping trips. The dining hall seems to have good food based on what I tasted and the residents seem as if they were at the lodge or a social club. There a couple of Bridge games going on and a Chess match. I saw a movie being shown and all the seats were taken. The facility is clean and the staff was very friendly and accomadation to the residents. I asked a resident how he liked living there an his response was he love it there cause they did all the cooking and he laughed. Very nice place and well worth you considering. Your loved one would be happy here.

Both of my parents lived at this facility (its predecessor, actually); Dad passed away here, Mom recuperated from heart surgery here. The staff IS wonderful, caring, responsive, and upbeat. The rooms and common areas are spotless, the food well above average, and the overall sense is one of brightness and uplift, and not the ponderous moroseness that pervades many similar facilities. Staff emphasized that this was my parents' HOME for the time they stayed there, and we were encouraged to emphasize the HOMIENESS of the experience: dining with the patients, watching TV and particiapting in various programs and entertainments, even personalizing the rooms with pictures and artwork. Visits from pets are encouraged! In a place where old age, infirmity, dementia, and death are always close at hand, Emeritas is able to overcome any feelings of gloominess or despair; the attitude that seems to inform the entire facility is one of hope and celebration. I'm 52 and able-bodied,....and can't wait to get ont the waiting lst!

I visited this facility for my mother. I found it to be lovely and the staff to be very caring. The person who gave me the tour was very accommodating and seemed very excited about this community. The resident's all looked happy and well cared for. The rooms are nice and clean. They are smaller than what my mother is living in now at another community and they do not have full kitchens to prepare a meal - just small kitchenette's. The overall presentation of the facility is very positive and I am considering placing my mom here in the near future. The selling point for me was the warm approach from the staff.
