I visited this facility

We visited this facility when we were looking for a place for my great aunt. It was recommended to us by a friend. Her grandmother is there and they are really pleased. We arranged to take a tour. The grounds were beautiful especially the orange trees. However, within the facility, the beds seemed to be older styles. Certain hallways smelled a bit stale. All of the staff were nice, but they appeared to be very busy. I did appreciate the fact that they used fresh fruits in the meals. There walls were painted in bright cheery colors. It was nice to see they specialize in dementia. On those halls, there are alarms on every door. This was a comfort for my husband and I because my aunt likes to go for walks but gets lost. Before accepting a patient, a family must tour the facility and meet with the facility management to determine whether the place is right for your family. In the end, we did not choose Maryland Gardens, but I wish everyone luck in their search.
