I am/was a resident of this facility

my husband was there for three days. I had no one to talk to about anything when I took him there. His care was horrible. No help, food scattered in the rooms and dirty depends all over. my husband was not bathed. do not take anyone you love there. I would not put a dying dog in there.

My sister is at Bridgeview Center. It's an older building, but it is very clean and they seem to be somewhat caring for the patients. There's been a few issues, but we've resolved those issues. I think they could give better care, but it's a nursing home. The staff seem very friendly.

This facility took excellent care of my mom. My mom passed 6/16/23. She had Alzheimer’s and was on caring way unit. The aids are so great they really care for their patients. The nurses are always there to answer questions. The facility is so clean the floors shine. Even the servers for the food delivery are good with the patients. If you have to put you relative or parent in this facility do not hesitate they will take excellent care of them. They have recreation with patients. The rooms a clean and decent size. and the food is really good. Sincerely Carole

I visited this facility

It’s not fit for humans! Dirty, under staffed and dangerous. This place should be investigated ASAP.

I visited this facility

No dignity for patients. Must customers when in bed, with only a diaper on especially the men. No frequency of same caregivers. Mostly contract people. Name tags seldom displayed. CNA-nurse-laundry person? Who knows. Clothes disappear. Day shift is we’ll staffed. After 4 or 5 no one answers door bell. One nurse who did answer phone was contract and didn’t know how to open front door. Juice with every meal. No milk. There are activities.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My aunt was admitted here after she developed serious dementia, and my mother, who is 87 could no longer take care of her. This was their only choice at the time, so they made the 40 minute trek and brought my aunt. After that, it was during the Covid vaccination period, but they would not allow my mother or extended family to visit with my aunt, even though they had all been vaccinated. There was no time that reasonable logic was applied regarding this place and visitors. They were not allowed to hug or visit for more than 30 minutes. They even kept all visitors away during a covid outbreak for more than 3 weeks. How can there be a Covid outbreak when vaccinines are available to all? It was very much the stereotypical "institution" that you DON'T want your loved one stuck in. When my family found a more "user friendly" and compassionate care facility for my aunt, this place could not find ANY of her clothing from her recent birthday in June. We had bought her new pajamas, slippers, tops, sneakers, etc. They brought her out in unmatched socks and old mismatched pj's. They told my sister that all her new things were "lost!" I am livid over this, as one of the birthday gifts I sent her was an expensive set of pajamas. They apparently have a theft problem. The staff said they didn't know where the stuff went. The family was never permitted to even enter the facility. We don't know what went on in there. No transparence whatsoever.

Bridgeview Center provides excellent care to my mother. The staff is so good, very helpful, and always there if you need something. She's getting three meals and two snacks a day. She's in the locked down memory care unit and doing very well. The dining room is also the activity room, and they have activities after lunch. They have an outdoor area, and each room has its own air-conditioning and heating availability like in a hotel room. She has three showers a week, and they have a hair salon where she gets her hair done. It's a very clean facility. She likes the food and has put on a few pounds.

This facility may get high ratings, however, my family's experience there was horrible. My mother was there approximately 6 weeks. My father visited her 7 days a week for approximately 4 hours a day. She was in the memory care unit. While under their care, she received horrendous bruises on the inner thighs on both legs. The staff did not advise him of the injuries. He found them while he was helping her in the bathroom. When he inquired about them, the nursing staff couldn't give a straight answer. One nurse said that she got them while sitting on the floor crossed-legged, another nurse said she got them by sitting on her bed with one leg tucked under the other leg. Finally, another nurse told my father that she had a bowel movement and needed to be cleaned. They obviously used excess force to get her cleaned up. My mom also claimed that her arm was hurt. Of course, she had no memory of what had happened. While talking to management regarding this issue, she stated to me, "your mom is really strong." I thought that was a very odd observation. How would she know how strong my mom was? It doesn't matter how strong she may or may not be, no bruises as bad as those should ever be left on any patient. In addition, during the admissions process, the person who handles the finances told my father that he would to cancel my mom's policy with Humana because they did not have a contract with them. She said that we would pick up a policy with United Health Care through AARP. He later found out that Bridgeview was not entirely trueful. A representative from Humana told him that was not true. There were patients at Bridgeview that they served.. Please check carefully with any facility before cancelling insurance and then being told you have to pick up another policy before your family member can be admitted to a facility or given care at a facility. It is a difficult decision to place any family member in any type of a facility. Make sure you check any facility carefully and are very comfortable with the care they will be providing to your loved one.

I am grateful and can sleep at night knowing my Mom is getting such wonderful care. The people that work at this facility are wonderful, caring individuals that really go the extra mile for their memory impaired patients. I have had my Mom in other facilities but none can compare to the quality of care she gets here!!
