Bordeaux Long Term Care

I rate our experience with this provider as average. The facility itself is usually clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have several activities for the residents to participate in. I don't like how the residents seem to lose their individuality though. By this I mean the staff tends to dress the residents in each others clothes just because it's what handy and it fits. Just because they are elderly and in my father's case, have dementia, doesn't mean that they completely forget who they are. Let them have their dignity.

Bordeaux is a beautiful caring facility that shows great compassion and warmth to the patients they serve. The staff was lovely when I visited, very friendly and helpful. The patients have different areas of medical ailment, some paralyses and others terminal illness. What I noticed is that no one seemed to be hopeless here. The staff did an amazing job of giving a breath of life into the facility and you could feel this all around. The patients even those who seemed to only have hours left were different. They were bright too and this I am sure has to do with the positive attitudes the staff exude. This is a homey cozy place and all of the staff is well trained and are educated. Any and all needs are met for the patient in an effort to give them a quality of life as others as long as they are part of their family as one staff stated. Having a family member in long term, care can be hard but it was clear they encourage family to come and make it easy for family bonding time. They have areas set aside just for family visitation and celebrations. Amazing staff and facility I would place my loved one here.
