If you LOVE your loved one,do NOT..let me repeat that,DO NOT even consider this place!! It's all about money, they don't care about those people,my brother had the same DIRTY sheets on his bed 4 straight days, the administration is aweful and couldn't care less, the toilet stayed dirty as well as the room.DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

I visited this facility

The care was horrible. The staff let’s the patients lay in urine for sometimes hours. The staff has an attitude when you ask them for something , or to be changed to dry bedding. My family member was there for about 10 days, and never got a hot meal. Every meal was ice cold. Often when you lift the cover off “ the meal” a fly would be under the lid. And a fly or two came in the room with the server. Can only imagine what is going on in the kitchen. Most nurses aids speak broken English, and brought only some prescribed medications. They always had an excuse like “ we are out of your medication” but we will order more. The director of nurses Melissa, is completely out of touch with what is going on with staff. They are short staff, but somehow manage to book every room in the facility. Guess it’s all about the money. The facility is not safe, and the nursing/aid staff should be fired. If you care about your loved one, don’t send them there.

Poor care by staff. My husband had a bad bruise and a bump on his forehead but the nurse didn’t know anything about it. General poor care.

My husband had dementia and was "quarantined" due to COVID for the first 14 days so I was unable to see him. Within the first 9 days he fell 4 times on different days and was transferred to the local hospital twice. He was not assisted with eating as I was told by the staff they left his tray in his room but he slept all day . He had diabetes among other health issues so I would think someone would have made better efforts to ensure he had eaten throughout the day. After his last fall and realizing he had a UTI, I drove 2 hours to the hospital to bring him home after insisting they do not release him back to that facility. Upon picking him up he was disoriented, bed sores all over his body and could not walk. What little he could speak did not make sense. He later past away under Hospice care at home on December 17 at the age of 52. I cannot express how much I wished I could go back and find some way of keeping him from being sent to this facility.

I watched my Mom decline for a solid year at this facility and because of COVId it was difficult to help her through a window and telephone and impossible to move her. I can honestly say there were three wonderful people there that honestly cared for their patients; Lil Bit, BB and the DON (I understand she is now gone). My Mom would go a whole week without a bath and she was bed ridden. She had sores that weren’t reported to us for weeks. The food was horrible as well as the housekeeping. The CNA’s run around working their tails off while the nurse staff sit at the nursing station. I’ve witnessed them FaceTimeing others while all around them are patients in need. I’m pretty sure they take an oath of which they are not honoring. I’m so very sad for these patients! When my Momma passed, the DON was really the only one that gave her condolences. It makes me so angry at the lack of respect these patients receive, we need to remember that this is their home.

I am/was a resident of this facility

star because I can't do zero. Alex in wound care and CNA's Dixie and Lauren, "lil' bit", are the only nurses that go above and beyond caring for patients. Weekends seem to have no oversight so it feels as though patients fend for themselves. Food is terrible and doesn't seem to be for adults. Dinners, for example, hot dog and beans, egg salad sandwich, lettuce that they call salad without dressing. That was just one week. Davis, the social worker, can't talk to you like you're an adult. Acts like he's too good to deal with people. I've seen him be very dismissive to patients. He needs to be reeducated. The whole management of this place needs to be investigated and/or replaced. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES FINISH THEIR LIVES AT THIS FACILITY!!!

This place has been great for my Mom. After Mom got settled in her very nice and immaculately clean room she started rehab I fell in love with the staff. The staff was very nice and was able to work with my Mom to get her up to walk a few steps and to be able to sit in a wheel chair. For some this may not seem like much but for my Mom this was a dream come true because she had been bed bound, not able to even sit up in bed for over 5 months before coming here. She now has been transitioned into the long term care section and is happy. I am very blessed to have everyone at Universal of Lillington they have keep me informed the whole way and when I needed emotional support they were there for me too. Today my Mom is happy, well taken care of, social, she has stopped losing weight, she has color to her skin again, she has commutation and a social environment as well as the 24 hour nursing care that she needed. This has taken so much stress off of me to know that all the amazing people at Universal of Lillington are take care of my Mom. It brings me joy every visit to see her thriving in her new place. My Mom is terminal so I know nobody can fix her but Universal of Lillington's staff has made her life happy and I can't thank everyone enough, I will forever be grateful.

over the years Universal Heath care changed my Mother would go into the Hospital they wouldn't call me or my brother. they wouldn't let us know at all. 2-3 days later the Hospital would call us. Her room wouldn't be clean for days. When me and my Brother Visit my Mother we would have to go and find housekeeping and make them clean the room. at times the floor wold be so sticky to the floor. I even had to kill spiders in her room. One day when visit my mother she had been bleeding from her right ear, the blood was all over her pillow. My mother told me that she reported this to the Nurse and nothing had been Done about it. I when to the nursing station myself and reported the incident, One Nurse stated she didn't know anything about it, the other Nurse stated that had been going on for 3 weeks. I when to the main office and told to the head administrator he told me if I wanted to go and get a Lawyer go right ahead. This Universal do not care about the people there. When my mother died not one person even sincere there condolence. Universal Heath Care is about the Money not the Patient or the care of the Patient.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad grew up in Hornet County, so he chose Universal Health Care of Lillington. My mother was there too before she passed. The facility is not very big. I think the food is okay, and dad loves to eat. I don't have any complaints except that I'm not crazy about his room, and I don't see any activities for the residents. But I don't expect a lot more, so it's okay.
