I am/was a resident of this facility

Bethany Village has cared for my mother for 7 years. The staff all the way from the Executive Director to the housekeeping staff are wonderful people. They take such great care of my mother. She was at another nursing center before transferring to Bethany so I know what it's like at other places. Nothing compares to this place. They care about the people they care about and they are always having fun!! The rooms are spacious and there is always something going on in the activity department. They have a free coffee bar and always do fundraisers for the Alzheimer's Association. It's become a second home to me and my family.

Truth nothing but

I visited this facility

Care is horrible and the smell will have many gagging by the time they leave the forsaken "home" ! An individual who lived in Bethany Independent Living Apts. for more than a decade, was removed from said nursing home due the very, very poor care provider to the individual!

Wish we could have had the money to keep her there longer for therapy. We really appreciated the caring staff who made every effort to make sure my mother was comfortable. Some staff went above and beyond the call of duty. People we hadn't even met greeted her in the halls. The rooms were kept clean - they came in to clean while residents were either dining or in therapy. We especially appreciated the patience the CNAs had with mom because she was quite demanding at times. We couldn't get her to understand that sometimes the staff were feeding other residents or otherwise taking care of their needs so they couldn't come put her in bed right away. Some of the CNAs treated mom as if she were their own mother. We really appreciate everything they did. We even had the opportunity to play bingo with her and the other residents as well as spend time with her in the dining hall. The food, for the most part, was pretty good and we even expressed our gratitude and compliments to the dining staff. This would be one of the first on my list if we ever had to put her back in a facility for any care.

I visited this facility

I think we are going with Bethany Village, and it was just really the staff. You could tell that the staff cared about what they were doing; it wasn’t just a job. They seemed passionate about helping these folks and are just dedicated, so that was a big thing for me. All the facilities have been pretty similar as far as the layout and the facility as a whole, but it was the personnel which really made the difference. The rooms are shared rooms and there are 2 people to a room, more like a hospital room. It had a curtain dividing off the room and a few pieces of furniture on each side for some personal items, but it just really resembled a hospital type of room more than anything else. The grounds are OK.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I really liked how the staff took care of my aunt. They made sure she ate and was clean and groomed. They also ensured that she got her exercise, even if it was just walking back and forth down the halls. I also liked how neat they kept her room and how organized everything was. My aunt's room had a place for everything, and the closet was well oranized with space to hang up her clothes, and drawers to put her underwear in. The only thing I didn't like, which was my reasoning for rating this place a 4 instead of a 5, was that there was a stench that you could smell as soon as you walked in the door. My first time there I expected the place not to be clean, but come to find out it was the exact opposite. Overall, I think this is a great place for my aunt to be taken care of because I know she is in good hands. I would definately recommend other people to leave their love ones in the care of Bethany Village.
