I find the aides at this nursing home some of the best. also, the home cooked meals taste amazing. I sometimes buy a tray so I can enjoy a meal with my sister.

I was at Julia Manor for a short while after a full hip replacement. The staff is friendly, efficient and genuinely care. The nurses, assistants, the physical therapy team and the administrative staff are all fantastic. Even the food is good! I am grateful to everyone who works at Julia Manor including those I didn't meet and rarely get to hear this-Thank You! I would recommend Julia Manor to any friend or family member who needs a place to recover. I hope I never need the help of this facility again, but it is a comfort to know they are there if I do.

My grandmother was a resident here for approx a year and a half. While there, she fell out of her wheel chair at the nurses station and broke her hip (very common to line all the residents up by the nurses station and ignore them), she had fallen out of bed numerous times and was found by relatives not staff, my grandmother was always dirty, her eyes were matted together often, black mold growing from he ac unit (notified management and the area was covered up with plaster), She was on a purée diet and some staff would barely attempt to feed her and give up quickly. Several occasions I had to ask nursing to get my grandmother a nebulizer treatment because of her wheezing after the nurse had just recently been in the room. I would never ever again send any of my loved ones there again and I feel so sorry for the people that are there now.

We're pleased with Julia Manor. It has a very welcoming foyer where family can gather with their loved ones and sit by the fire. They can go downstairs and feel like they're in a home. Each floor has a large gathering room for eating, and a second one where they can play cards, do puzzles, or watch TV in what feels like a homier setting. I've been pleased with the care. They have a physical therapy wing and a beauty parlor on site. They offer all kinds of activities during the course of the day, and generally they have two or three musical groups in a week. We're pretty pleased with the food. They have a nice variety and the menus are good. They have a chef who lays out the menu and their own preparation staff. They serve familiar food that cater to local tastes, and generally there's more than enough food. I'm very pleased with the staff.

Upon visiting my dad in the evening, my mother and I found him on a mattress on the floor gasping for air and unable to communicate because he had aspirated on something. I ran up and down the hall for someone to help us but no one did anything for some time. They finally brought morphine and after he struggled for what seemed like eternity, he passed. It has been since 2012 and I wanted to post this in hopes that no one else may have to endure the pain that my mother and I had to go through. My mother passed 3 months later.

This was my mother's second visit at Julia in approx. 10 yrs. First experience bad to average. This experience on the 2nd floors( rehab. section) was a great improvement. Nurses available most of the time. People friendly in the rehab section. Not sure if this is the same on other wings and on the 3rd floor. The rooms are very old looking on the third floor.( she was on the 2nd flr.) It looks like less nursing staff. Nursing staff try to be friendly and helpful on the 3rd floor but they look stressed and have less help. My stepfather is on the non rehab section.rooms (3rd floor)look totally different. I guess because all types of people are in the rehab room(2nd floor) the company must make it look good to get more money from all types of people.. The people on the third floor (long term care) rooms/ things look old and stressed nursing. But I noticed that the nurses try to be helpful but they need more help. This center provide activities for all.- Good and they take them on trips. They should have another bus and staff to help. I would look to see them create a outdoor space so patients with not feel like they are in prison. Or families could take them outside. Case workers great and admission staff great. Need little shop or store so residents and buy books newspaper, stamps cards, etcc. GREAT REHAB staff. I feel that they are making some improvements
