I'm currently at WhiteStone. I chose it because it's got a good reputation, it is very clean, very nice, modern, and they are supposed to take good care of people over here that are recovering. The staff is very good here. The food is good. There are a lot of activities here. The place is very nice looking aesthetically on the outside and the inside. The nurses are professional here and the aides are professional. They have a salon, PT, and a gym.

My first visit to WhiteStone was in June '23. I was able to see the new recently completed apartments & villas. During my second visit in Sept.'23. I was able to visit other newly renovated spaces: assisted living, the campus wellness area, Bistro & Pool/Exercise areas etc. These areas were lovely and inviting...even exciting. The assisted living area offered: a sit down tub and shower room, a spa like salon for hair, foot, nail care...common lounge & activity areas were stunning and delightful homey. The decorator did a marvelous job! I was also taken to lunch in the community dinning room were I could choose a meal from the menu or take in the buffet. My salmon from the buffet was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and low in salt...a dietary concern of mine. The dinning room was handsome but slightly dated and could use an update to meet the standards of everything else I saw. I rate this facility 3 1/2 - 4 Stars.

WhiteStone: A Masonic & Eastern Star Community has got different little areas. They have villas, cottages, and apartments. But for the dining area to have your 3 meals a day, you have to walk to it. If you need more level of care, you can move into another building or area in the same compound. You could go to an independent facility and as your health declines, they will still be able to take care of you. The villa that they showed us had a stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The staff who took us around was really good.
frustrated and disappointed.

We live at White Stone. The assisted living workers are very good. Unfortunately, they (at times) are unable provide home services due to a very minimum staff. If you are not scheduled a month ahead and find that you need times that are not scheduled you are very lucky to get the needed help. They try to find someone but are unable do so. I know the person tries ,but; getting a person on short notice is not usually found. White Stone points out their great health care services as outstanding, 24 hours a day. We have found this not tp be the case.

WhiteStone is where I think my husband is going to go. They're building an expansion, and I think it won't be ready until next year. It's a continuing care community at Holden Road in Greensboro. We saw their independent living. It's like other continuing care places, and it is very expensive. It's not for everybody, but the people that are there on staff and the people that live there were extremely friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and just so beautiful. They keep the rooms in excellent condition.

WhiteStone was a very nice place. They're expanding it right now, so for anybody who wants to live there, they will be happy. The buildings are going to be fantastic. I liked the fact that there is a chapel too, a workshop, and there were a lot of people who were my age. The staff was very, very pleasant. The one-bedroom was comfortable, and was the right size. It's about 1,000 square feet.
frustrated and disappointed.

I do not know about the rooms as we live in a home. Our home is very nice. The staff are friendly, My reactions with them are very good, Varied. Amenities not as good as advertised. My opinion, Some not really available. My complaint is that the food , as a whole is not very good. It is is often over cooked, chicken dominated, and the variety very lacking. There is no choice of other selection of regular types of meals. Many residents are complaining among themselves but seem hesitant to complain to the chef. We are looking for other quarters to compare food choices.

My mother just moved into WhiteStone nursing home. The staff members are pretty helpful, and they are good for the most part. She's not real thrilled with the food. The upkeep and the layout are good. It's under construction right now. They're doing a two year refurbishment of the center, so that entails some noise. The independent living side is wonderful; I'd give that a five. She moved from independent living and she's in full-time nursing care now. They've been pretty well shut down up until about maybe three weeks ago. They had a COVID infestation, but that's been cleared up now, and they are just resuming activities since last April, and she's fairly happy with that. It's a gated community, so there's security at the gate. There was no visitation allowed from November, and it just resumed in April. It's kind of expensive, but I don't have anything to compare it to.

I would never and another loved one to this facility. I witnessed some cnas not offer lunches until two hours after serving time! Disgrace! Even after called for attention it wasn't addressed. Residents ate constantly being other visitors to h help them find someone to help them get clean underpants because the are wet. If your lived one is there stay with them 24\7

Whitestone has come a long way. They have upgraded from just a place to go and die for old folks to a really congenial community. They have expanded tremendously. They have spent money to upgrade and remodel and make the community bright and cheery. They have anything from a one-bedroom apartment up to a three-bedroom house. They have a pool, a barbershop, and a gym, so that you wouldn't have to leave the grounds if you didn't want to. They also have a Men's Bridge Club, where you can get together. We had been hosted by some of the sales staff when we went there. We had been invited several times for musicals. Best of all, we have friends and a great aunt who live there. I would say it was a 4 all the way down the line. The only thing I saw that I didn't like is that they require you to pay for around 35 meals a month.
