Marwood Nursing and Rehab is very good. I like the staff. They are very caring. The facility is clean and user-friendly. My mother-in-law likes it there. She has no complaints about the food. She doesn't eat much, but the food is fine. The dining area is nice, clean, and big. We chose this place for her because it's the closest to us.

The care that Marwood Manor Nursing Home provides is good. They seem to be taking pretty good care of my wife. They have shared rooms, but she's in a room by herself because they'd like to keep people like that so they don't pass any infections on to someone else. The therapists are good. I've had experience with them myself 9 months ago and they were also very good. The staff has always been positive. I like them. The food is pretty good. Once in a while, you get something that you don't like, but the majority of the time, the it is good, especially breakfasts. It's a pretty good place and I'd certainly recommend them. The central court area is beautiful that it makes you feel better when you go by and look at it in the windows. The maintenance is good. The young girls that help you with things like bring you your lunch, breakfast, and dinner and help you with the showers and things like that are very good and very kind. They have always been nice and courteous. There was only one time that I had trouble with one staff member. I told the nurse about it and it was immediately taken care of. So, they were prompt, good, and fair.

I would not want my loved ones admitted to Marwood Manor. Especially if they are an invalid or in a wheelchair. Marwood is perpetually "understaffed." Marwood is very expensive when your Medicare runs out. It costs the patient $750 a day whether they are efficiently staffed or understaffed. i would suggest asking Marwood what their staffing level is before you admit a patient. I would suggest to Marwood that they only allow the numbers of patients that they have efficient staff available. I can understand being understaffed occasionally but not every day of every week. I realize that Covid caused understaffing problems but that doesn't help the patient waiting for care and paying $750 a day for it. Have only enough patients that you have staff for. The registered nurses have too much power to speak horribly to the guests there to visit and help their loved one. They can effectively scold someone if needed but to yell at them seems mean and inappropriate. The staff under them were very kind and professional at all times.

I have visited my friend many times. I find the staff friendly and very helpful and caring. I was surprised because I didn't think they would be so caring. I was pleased to see the wide selection of foods the residents are offered. They meet each person's food requests. Someday if I need to become a resident of a nursing facility, I would choose Marwood Manor.
