The Riverwoods facility is a fairly new facility and very up to date. It has modern amenities and is very clean and new. It was built with somewhat cheaper materials in some areas but for the most part, everything is very high quality and pleasing to use and see. The facility has everything someone could want. There is a pool, library, restaurant, hair salon, game room, etc. The staff is friendly and on top of things. There is a walking path outside that is nicely landscaped and maintained. Everything is taken care of here. My grandfather doesn't have to worry about anything. There are plenty of other residents that he can be friends with and they all take shuttles into town every week to have some fun shopping. The individual units where the people live are nice. There are several different floorplans for apartments and they are all well designed with all the features you would expect. The showers are accessible and everything is safe and easy to use. The climate control is individual to each apartment, so my grandfather can keep it just at the temperature he wants. I would recommend Riverwoods to anyone looking to move into assisted living.
