Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation

The staff seemed very friendly to the guests and the patients however. However, I do not feel like they kept a very good eye on the patients that were still mobile. Some patients repeatedly wandered into other patients rooms and seemed to have free range. The food was like hospital food. Wasn't anything to get excited about. Grandma asked us to bring her food from outside the hospital consistently. The facility was very clean though. I don't remember having any problems with cleanliness. It was also set up to have two guests per room, which made it feel very hospital like. I guess you can't really expect much out of a nursing home though.

My aunt had reached 94 years old and had previously had knee replacements and currently a broken upper extremity. This created difficulty for her family to take care of her at home any longer due to her lack of ability to use the arm for a walker to assist with ambulation. The facility had a great rehab staff that worked with her to help her be more functional. The cleanliness was fair. Like most facilities it had the smell of urine when you walked in the door. The nursing staff on my visits always seemed to be rushed and never have time to spend with the patients, and the young CNA's just didn't want to listen to the old people. They did have activities that were hit or miss with the patients. The lack of variety from month to month seemed rather boring.

This is a pleasant facility to visit. The staff here is friendly and warm and goes above and beyond to make the lives of their patients extra special during their time here. The staff is attentive and shows compassion and love. The facility is clean and the rooms are large nicely decorated. The menu is well planned with amazing healthy option. The dietitian shows great care in the preparation of the food. The patients stated they love the food all diets are considered. The professional staff is well educated and yet they are warm and kind. There is PT/OT and ST offered as to aid in the recovery process. There are both short and long term stays available depending on their case. There is a sense of safety and security here. The patients seem to all be at ease and free of worry. The patients were clean, bright and alert which is very important not all medicated short of a coma. There are many activities for the patients to participate in to keep busy and alert. The staff provides games, arts and crafts as well as movies and outings. Religious and Civic groups bring programs and worship services. You will not go wrong here if you place a loved one. This is a lovely facility well worth your consideration. I highly recommend Regency Park.
