I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister is at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington and I was very pleased that I was always allowed access to her when I visited. She is in memory care and I thought that they took good care of the COVID situation and certainly protected her. Her husband is also in the facility, but on another floor. I've had a positive experience there. I thought they were always prompt in returning my phone calls whenever I needed to communicate with them. I've seen them preparing the food and they were careful about it.

I visited this facility

The Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington facility was older and needed a lot of updates. We were not impressed with the facility as much as a bunch of the other ones. The staff was very nice and the people, it was 1980s type decor and it was dark. It's just not as nice, and it needed some help, needed some work as far as I'm concerned. They had a chapel, they had all the amenities, the food and all that kind of stuff was there. It had everything, it was just a little bit older. The bigger thing was they still hadn't opened up their cafeteria from a COVID perspective. So they were woefully behind everybody else, as far as getting people up and going, and having things available to people. They didn't really have meals because you couldn't go in the cafeteria. They had food, but they brought it to your room.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father is at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington. It's got all levels of care from independent living all the way up through memory care and long-term care. It's a nice facility from that standpoint. Before the COVID lockdown they had lots of activities, life enrichment, shared dining, social activities, sing alongs, movies, and lots of different things that you could choose from. When they locked down and visitors weren't allowed, it got to be a real challenge for us.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mother, Sybil is in Pathways TCU. An RN and Social Worker both recommended this facility. This is an awesome place. Staff are so caring and competent. It's so beautiful and clean. This is her 5th rehab stay at TCU's, and hands down this is the best. She fell at 2 other TCU's after surgery, so I feel more comfortable staying over nite in her room. I am totally welcomed and appreciated.

I visited this facility

Presbyterian homes has a variety of areas for seniors and they offer great service. When my grandma first was transferred it was after a hospital stay and they moved her into the care center. The staff is friendly and helpful and they make the transition easy for their residents, since the care center, assisted living areas and nursing home facilities are all located within close proximities of each other. My grandma gets fresh daily meals and they offer a lot of fun activities for the residents. I think assisted living and care facilities are a good idea because it allows seniors who may have been living on their own a chance to make friends and socialize. They have eating areas on all floors as well as a full cafeteria for guests. There is a movie room, clothing shop, and a general store where residents can purchase gifts, candy, and various toiletries and necessities. I am glad my grandma is there.

Visited this facility

Presbyterian homes and Services are also known as PHS. The facility is very clean. In fact it is one of the most immaculate assisted living facilities that I have been in when I professionally provided services to the residents there. The facility provides both skilled nursing and personal care assistance. The staff is very friendly and professional and the residents that I visited there reported that they felt the staff treated them well, with respect. Presbyterian serves individuals with Alzheimer's disease and addresses residents who are at all levels of functioning including those requiring minimal assistance for mobility, and those who are highly dependent for their physical and mental needs. The facility provides onsite physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech as well as recreational therapies. The organization provides skilled nursing and personal care services. Presbyterian Homes and Services offers long term residential, short term, and respite care in a setting that has comfortable furniture and décor. For those who want more privacy, private rooms are available.
