I visited this facility

The staff was very friendly, it seemed like they were doing the best they could with a nursing home. As one you'd suspect, the atmosphere is a dreary one, it's basically a waiting room for death. The majority of patients unable to move in their wheelchairs, falling asleep in hallways and others already appearing lifeless in their hospital beds. But those who are being cared for are given what they need, sufficient food, a comfortable bed and enough entertainment. I do not condone the use of these facilities if there is family able to take care of the patients without life-threatening issues. The facility was clean, well maintained and it would appear slightly above what one would expect from a nursing home, having been to another smaller one with less money to throw around. My friend who was staying in the nursing home said that the food was nothing special, and it was apparent to me that she had lost weight. It seems like they are strict with the food, but since people tend to be indulgent, perhaps it's blown out of proportion. The fact that this facility is right next to the biggest hospital within a large area, it makes it relatively convenient for visitors and patients with emergencies.
