I visited this facility

It truly was an honor to have visited this facility. There is a rich history here of which I was familiar with. This was the first long-term care home for African Americans in the Greater Atlanta area since the 40's. The facility welcomes all races and creeds but this is a facility that is culturally geared to the African American Community. The facility is start of the art; all needs are met here for short term care or those that truly need long term nursing attention. The staff here is highly trained and well educated knowledgeable in all areas of need. OT/PT and ST are all in-house and daily administered to all who have a RX for these services. The activities here are amazing from the Senior Prom to Anniversary Celebrations for couples who reside here. There is Thi Chi, Yoga, Games, Musical Concerts, Movies, Audio-Visual aids, Computer training, Worship services every Sunday and Mid Week Bible Study and special Worship services. The residents were some of the happiest residents I have seen, there is a sense of family here, the staff is truly attentive and engaging and the residents are at a Resort not a Retirement or Rehab facility. They are at home and you become aware of this when you enter this amazing facility. The rooms are massive as well as well decorated and very clean. The food well let’s just say it is just like your Grandma use to make. I was right at home eating here and the food was amazing. I felt like I entered a Fraternity/Sorority House for seniors which were wonderful. They were having a blast and did not care who saw. This is a wonderful community for anyone but it is an African American orientated community. I highly recommend this amazing facility. No need here goes unmet and you cannot go wrong choosing this facility. I could say many more amazing things but just do not have room or time.
