Do not ever put a loved on in this facility!!

They do not have enough staff for patients I witnessed patients eating dirt, in the lawn area, and staff walking right by him and not doing anything about it.

They lost almost all of my fathers clothes and belongings and were completely un-apologetic about it.

They would often not know where my father was when I would come and see him and he would wander around in other buildings alone.

They put my father, who has alzheimer's in the mental unit because he was wanting to leave the facility and upset.

They had me sign a form, that I was unaware of, agreeing to pay PERSONALLY for any bill that medical didn't pay and are now SUING ME FOR THE UNPAID BALANCE.

My father was a victim of elder abuse and I was able to prove to the facility that he was unable to pay, due to being conned out of his money etc. and they wound't reduce or help with the bill at all, even when I offered to volunteer at the facility.

I would highly recommend this facility to those who wanted their loved ones to be the best they can be. At Twin Palms Care Center you are in good hands, the caregivers there treat the residents with respect and dignity.

I had a tour of this facility. They are a locked facility - about 200 beds or so - it is quiet large. They specialize in caring for the mentally ill and dementia patients. The dementia unit is really nice and quite - and I liked how they have a picture of the patient on the front of their room. This is really helpful for the patient when they are looking for their room. All the untils are locked and it is very secure. I was impressed with the little things they do for the patients - like providing pizza and donuts for them. The downside is that it is located on a very busy street and it is part of a very large corporation. I would consider this facility.
