I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father wasn't looked after and now we do not have him any longer. Staff said no matter what kind of state the patient is in they do not send the patient to the hospital without family consent. My brothers asked for doctor to come in several times. My dad was unresponsive and that wasn't enough to send him to hospital. Family asked and asked for doctor, never came. couple nights prior waited and waited for doctor to come in, was told he was there but never showed up from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm. Nurses did not put in my dads recorders that family kept asking for doctor. The gentleman next to my father was given medicine he did not need, he went down hill until his family found out, asked facility to stop medicine he did not and they gave it to him 2 more nights. Family got involved and they finally stopped the medicine. FOR THOSE PATIENTS THAT WAS TREATED RIGHT, THANK GOD. THE FACILITY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN OR NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT AND WORKERS. Some were good most, you could tell just a job.

The rooms were nice. The staff was excellent. I was treated very good. I wouldn't go any where else if I needed it again and would highly recommend.

My husband is now at AnMed Health Rehabilitation. I found the rooms to be very clean. They are in the stages of remodeling some rooms. They said that you would hear noise around lunchtime, but it doesn't matter. They have TVs in their room, so if something noisy was going on I just turned the TV up. This is the fourth time he's been there, and I found them very good. The staff are very friendly and very caring. It was funny because he was there a little bit ago, and when he got back I think he is in the same bed, and this lady walked in and she said, "Oh, what are you doing back? You were just in that bed." So they even remember names. My husband is pretty picky, but whatever they were eating, it smelled very good, and he was eating it, so it had to be good. They have counseling, and they have a full rehab facility gym where they work with him on all kinds of different things. In the past, they got him walking with a walker, so I think they did a great job.

Have heard this is the best one in the area.Heaven help us.I am assuming the physical therapy is adequate.A nurse called me & told me my husband was taken to the hospital for a blood transfusion.Late that evening I had not been able to contact him & called & asked to tell him to call me.I was told he was at the hospital & I respond I thought he would be back by them. Was told she would call me between 10 & 10:30.No call.Phone rang around 1 am but hung up.The next morning I called & finally was told he had bee admitted.Wed.Aug 12 I was called & told he was sent to ER.I explained to the nurse my previous experience. She reassured me she would keep calling the hospital & keep me informed.I am still waiting for that phone call.He died that afternoon. Also had I known they had such a large lobby, we could have gone there & seen him from the window. We live in Walhalla. No one ever suggested that. He kept saying he wanted to come home because every time he went there he go sick.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I choose to go to Anmed Rehab after a hip replacement. Nursing staff was terrific. They answered the call bell almost immediately. Responded quickly for request for pain meds. The therapists are awesome!!! The gym area is very crowded and could be enlarged. The down side of my experience was the horrible food. The meal is determined by the company headquarters so there is no special meal planning such as a diabetic diet. With so much emphasis on privacy, the facility needs to ensure that all patients have a private room. Overall I would return to this facility

AnMed was excellent. My husband has been there for three weeks, and when he had to go back for rehab, he didn't want to go elsewhere but there. The staff was excellent. They have physical, speech, occupational therapies, and so on. My husband thought the food was very good and even gained weight while he was there. They provided first-rate therapy that really helped him a lot.

The facility that we used for my stepfather was called AnMed Health Rehabilitation. The staff seemed nice. The room had two beds, so you had a roommate in there with you.

AnMed Rehab has very good physical therapy. They give patients a schedule of what time they have therapies every night for the next day and that helps with planning visits as well as having an idea what the next day brings. All of the staff have excellent skills with both the patient and families- not usual in my vast experience with hospitals nursing homes doctors offices physical therapists, etc. Everyone very friendly and helpful and polite. Watch what medicines your loved one is getting - they're fine with going over it with you - stay on top of it. The food is actually good, I ate with my Dad quite often. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of no private rooms. It's a deal breaker to have 2 elderly men have to share a bathroom. The rooms are too small to handle 2 wheelchairs in and out of rooms easily. There is no privacy with just a curtain between the two - everyone hears everything. 2 TVs in each room is good but the volume of the other ones is always loud even with the speaker on the pillow. My dad spent a lot of time just sitting in the day room or up at the front reception to avoid both of his roommates incessantly chattering wives - not something I foresaw. It was freakish. It feels as if this place was designed with a much younger clientele in mind than the bunch of 80+ people in there. A lot of patients said they'd be happy to come back as outpatient physical therapy but never again as inpatient.

AnMed is a rehabilitation hospital. It's the last one my dad went in, he came out and he can walk without his walker right now. He can go from his chair to the kitchen or to the bathroom a lot of days without even using his walker and he had a real good experience with them, too. The facility was clean and it was pleasant. The staff was real nice, they kept us informed. He had his own TV. He did have someone in the room with him but they both had their own TV. He did therapy everyday. He had a schedule so we knew what type of therapy he was having during the day. I liked the care that he got there.
