I am a friend or relative of resident

My husband became a resident of Carriage Hills in 2009 after back surgery. Even though he was moved close from the hospital to there close to a shift change there, his admittance was not rushed and he was made to feel comfortable. This made me feel more comfortable with our choice. I'm sorry that I can't remember the attendants names that took care of him, but, everyone was so nice and made him feel at home. This includes the nurses, CNAs, CMAs, therapists, dieticians, etc. In fact, everyone there made it more like home for him. He was embarassed by the fact that he was having problems with bladder control. I distinctly remember a CNA named Bernice who came to clean him up when it first happened. She was so kind and talked to him and told him not to be embarassed because it was something he couldn't help. She further said that was what they are there for - to take care of him and help him to get better. He felt so much better after that talk. I really can't say enough about the care that was given there. The residents were well taken care of, the food is good, the therapy given is good, the staff is professional and caring. What more could anyone ask for? There is an activities room (Wii included) and makes for a fun place to go visit. Right before my husband went home, they had a birthday party for a resident that was turning 100!
