Alzheimer's Learning Center Adult Day Care

We are an adult day care facility committed to bringing exemplary care and opportunities for early stages Alzheimer's clients. The founder, Lane Johnson, brings over 30 years of interest and experience with the aging, specifically Alzheimer's patients since 2000. Her background outside of her life as a carer in her family ranges from facilitating an Alzheimer's support group in Richardson sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, to volunteering as a Research Assistant at the Center for Vital Longevity here in Dallas. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UTD, and is currently completing her Master's in Counseling at SMU, with an emphasis in Gerontological Counseling.

Lane brings a unique combination of talents and experience with her passion to contribute to quality of life by providing exemplary adult day care for Alzheimer's patients and their families. She is certified in essentiALZ, a training program sponsored by HealthCare Interactive and the Alzheimer's Association, and is trained in CPR and first aid. Paramount to the center is to gain and maintain knowledge re: research, techniques, and therapies that will help to keep us ahead of the challenges that Alzheimer's can present.

Our mission is to provide the best adult day care in a warm home environment with each day's activities tailored to each client's pace - a client-centered approach to holistic adult day care that is conducive to every client realizing their meaning to life - an imperative component to the well being of us all. Activities include, but are not limited to, pet therapy with our beloved Golden, gardening, supervised cooking, music therapy, classic movies, opportunities for physical activities, and scheduled visits from happy youngsters for story time, a game, or baking cookies. We want to provide exemplary adult day care for our clients.
