Just from first impressions, the place is kept clean and provides a welcoming atmosphere. The security guard at the gate was very informative and courteous. He allowed me in to talk to the seniors inside about Toys for TOTS, a non-profit organization that collects toys for the holidays to give out to low-income families and their children. The elderly were very sweet and had brought some donations. Everyone seems very pleasant and happy living here. No concerns were expressed. I asked an elderly woman about her home here at The Palace and she expressed how grateful she was that Publix was a short walking distance. She said she couldn't drive due to poor vision, but she also wanted to maintain her independence. This Palace was a right fit for this sweet woman. She could get her shopping done while living in an environment with others just like her.Another gentleman approached me and said he wanted to leave his previous living facility. His previous nursing home was filled with nurses that he described as 'rude and unapologetic.' However, at the Palace, he recovered from his medical conditions and was able to live in with his wife while having weekend visits with his grandchildren. He mentioned that at the nursing home, he feared his grandchildren could catch a communicable disease.Overall, The Palace at Weston Senior Living is a wonderful place to reside. With all the gardening always being maintained and with such new facilities, one couldn't find a nicer place to live at. Friendly staff and residents equals a happy retirement. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to move in with sweet senior residents.
