This Facility is a close to home and very affordable options for low income families residing in the westbury area. The New Cassel community is a small one where everyone knows each other including the staff at Magnolia Gardens. This place would be perfect to place your elderly family member because no one will care for your family like some who knows them personally as opposed to complete strangers, whom elderly often seem to have issues with. They have very friendly staff and do all sorts of activities. It feels more like a senior center then a Nursing Home. Its a Huge family and it seems everyone there has made friends. They have chess tables and benches with a nice lawn for sitting out on the nice summer days. Its very accessable and tho it feels like a family the units are very seperate for the times that you do need your own privacy. It features full apartments and you are even allowed to have one of your close family members reside there with you in the event that you do not want to be alone. So for those who have elderly family members who they may not be able to care for and need the help with out making their loved ones feeling like they have been stranded and left alone this would be an ideal place for them. Even if there were alone its close to home and many major highways so the travel will never be an issue. The food is also very good and all very healthy choices. The Facility has a great cook i had the pleasure of meeting named Dawn. She was friendly and had personal relationships with each of the residents. They have bingo and atlantic city trips. Even Zumba classes for the elderly which Im sure would be quite a sight to see them all participate.
