I like Atria Walnut Creek. I like their activities. I like their menu. I like the personnel that I met. What I didn't like was that the units were all very small, and I needed something bigger. They didn't have any two bedrooms. They gave me a whole brochure on everything that they had. They have a nice little cafe in between meals that looked very nice to me, and the rooms were well-kept. Everything was clean and new. One of them had a stove, which I liked, and two of them did not.

I visited someone who was at Atria Walnut Creek. The overall experience was very good. It was very clean. My friend's mother had a very nice view. There's a sliding glass door that looked out into a nice view, so that was nice. The room was like a studio. Everything was in one room except for the bathroom, but that seemed okay. She had her own furniture, so it was very cozy. I walked by the dining room, and I see they had activities. There's a shuttle that takes them places, so I thought that was good. They had game tables there, so people played games. They had a party to where all the residents were invited, and that was nice, too. She had no complaints with the staff, and she's a complainer, so that was something. She didn't complain about the food, too. It was kind of a high-end place. It's very expensive.

I liked that Atria Walnut Creek had a great feeling of warmth. I noticed that the person who took us about spoke to all of the residents. We stayed and had a meal there, and it was very good. And the staff were very helpful, they were very nice. The grounds were somewhat limited in terms of outdoor space. The facility also had an elevator that had been out for several weeks. There were other elevators in the building, but this was kind of the main one closest to the dining area, and evidently, it had been an ongoing thing because residents were complaining. I was looking at a one-bedroom, it was spacious. The ones I got to see did face an open space like a side of the hill where you weren't looking at other houses or other things. It was quite pleasant, and I could see myself being comfortable there.

My brother was at Atria Walnut Creek. It was very good. He just needed more care than what they could offer him after he came out of the hospital for the second time. It's beautiful. It's very nice. He had an efficiency apartment, and it was 420 square feet, which for an efficiency is quite a huge place. The people that came to bathe him and helped him to meals and things like that were just wonderful. I ate there a couple of times, and the food was very good. They had a lot of activities that they could do. They had a movie theater. They had a gym with some equipment. They had exercise facilities. He was pretty much confined to a wheelchair, so he didn't participate in much of that. I was very pleased with it. They also had a library, a computer station, and transportation to doctors in the area.

Atria Walnut Creek was very nice. It certainly was a good possibility for us. It's one of those places where when your status changes, your room stays the same. Seemed like they had all the services that one might need there. So, I thought it was good. The rooms looked nice. We looked at a large one-bedroom and it was adequate. They have cafeterias, the meals are included, and they have PT available.

Our tour at Atria Walnut Creek was great. We were greeted professionally. While they were waiting on our appointment individual, they made sure we were comfortable and tended to any needs we might have had. The sales director/marketing director came out and talked to us. We went into her office, we talked for a while, explained the situation, and reviewed our options. She took us on a tour and we saw great staff interaction with the residents. Something is going on to keep the residents engaged. The grounds and facilities were superb. It's one of the only two so far we've visited that we would consider putting my mother in. The dining area was clean as well. They were serving lunch, the food looked good, cooked, and it looked like a well-balanced meal.
