I visited this facility

There were very few walking trails at Atria Willow Park. The bedrooms were way too small. It would probably be nice for one person, but me and my wife have a king-size bed. There'd be no room for a dresser, but they looked nice and everything. Another thing is that we're in the early stages of retirement and most of the people there are old enough to be our parents. I'm looking more for an active independent living place. The people that we talked to were very informative and took their time. It was a pleasure talking with them. The facilities were very nice. They got bingo and all that stuff, but I'd like to make rocking chairs, something to keep our hands busy. If they had a woodworking place, that'd be great.

My tour at Atria Willow Park was great. It was a great place. It was very nice. They were very professional and very clean. It was just a nice layout. They have all kinds of games, movies, and exercises. They provide a full range of activities there. They got a calendar that shows all the activities by the hour and what's going on. They have a game room, a workout athletic room, a meeting room where they have movies, a library, and a nice cafeteria. They have a beautiful large atrium with a water fountain. It was just a nice place. They had several people walking around, just out walking in the atrium and whatever. We met several of them, and they were very happy. Some of them have lived there for 9 or 10 years. They got some really happy customers. I didn't meet any of the workers except the lady that showed us around and one of the nurses. I wasn't really in touch with a lot of the staff, but the staff I met was very professional. The facility was great. It was well kept. The facility layout was great, too. I'm not a big pool guy, but they didn't have a swimming pool even an indoor one. But other than that, it was a nice facility. They have a professional chef there, and they have food services. It seemed like it would be great. They have a nice cafeteria, and they bring you food to the table. They have people in the cafeteria around the clock. Then they have between meals, and they have coffee and drinks and snacks and stuff.

Atria Willow Park was beautiful and clean. The staff was very helpful. It's just a nice place. The only reason we probably didn't go to that one is that it was a little bit smaller than the one my sister is in, and their windows were inside the building. You could see the people walking through the building. It wasn't showing you the sunshine. They had nice entertainment the one time I was there. They were having some kind of little party there and they were having a good time. The cookies were good, but we didn't go at the time that they had lunch.

I visited this facility

We did a tour of Atria Willow Park. It was lovely. The facility was spacious and beautiful. The employees were all really pleasant. It was clean, well kept, and just absolutely beautiful. We liked every single thing about it except one thing: it didn't feel as cozy to my mom. They have larger open spaces, which most people really like, but it causes a little bit of echoing. My mom has problems with her hearing right now, so she found that very annoying. That's the only issue, and that's because of her hearing loss. Somebody was playing a game of bingo when we walked by and she was calling out the numbers; it bothered her ears. That's the only thing -- I'm not kidding. It was a stunning place, and the people were so nice. The grounds there are beautiful and well groomed. There are walking places, sidewalks, and plants; it's beautiful. I would have lived there. They were awesome and so nice. I liked it; I would have picked that for her. The buildings are a "five plus." I really loved that place.

My father has moved into Atria Willow Park. The staff was very supportive and communicative. They listened. They were tuned in to him, so to speak. They asked questions about his personality, his likes, and his dislikes. They asked all the right things to try to help acclimate him as much as possible. It's professional, warm, and inviting. The atmosphere is very comfortable. We had some requests for the room, and they were quick to respond. There were a couple of issues, and they were corrected the same day. They have three meals a day prepared by a chef. The meals look inviting. They assist in mealtime with drinks and carrying trays when needed. They have activities all day long. It's interesting because there are other activities at the next level of care right down the hall, and they're willing to let him participate in those too. It was something that will keep him active. He said the food was wonderful, and he's been eating there pretty consistently. They help him pick out meals. They have a variety of meals and a variety of dishes, and they'll accommodate some preferences to a degree. I really think they need to get the t'ai chi class back up again. If we can get that done, that would be absolutely perfect. I visited several places, and this is the one I liked the most.

I researched the facilities in my area and Atria was high on the list. After the initial tour, i was very impressed with the staff and what the elderly folks there were telling me. Mom had to leave her home because of falls, and she is a very hard sell on any place. It was slow at first to get her out of the room, but now she is enjoying the other ladies and bingo and exercise. The staff are great every time i go visit mom, and mom says they check on and take good care of her. Thank you Atria for being so good to my mother!!!

We've chosen Atria Willow Park for my mom. It was nice, everyone was nice when we toured it, and we picked out a room. They're not providing any activities right now, she's gonna have to eat in her room, and they're bringing up the meals to them because of COVID. She has house cleaning once a week, they change her sheets and wash them once a week, you can sign up for things for them to do if you want medications and stuff that she needs at extra cost, but she doesn't need that yet. The staff is really nice.

I did an in-person tour of Atria Willow Park. They're very nice, and I would recommend them to anyone. I think it was an A+; I had no problems at all with it. The room had a kitchenette, and it had plenty of room for a living room and a dining room or a dinette, the stove was kitchen size, and the refrigerator was apartment size probably, but that's all my sister-in-law really needed. The staff was very accommodating, took us around, and she just went over the top to try and make my sister-in-law comfortable there and explained things to her.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am a new resident in quarantine because of COVID protocol with new residents. I am appreciative because this keeps me safe. I had a Negative 1st test and waiting for 2nd test to finish quarantine. I feel safe. Everyone is masked. I received a beautiful welcome from staff and my neighbors opened their doors to say Hi and Welcome and tell me I would love it here. They were right. The Staff is friendly and attentive. My chef-prepared meals are indeed restaurant quality and delivered to my room. There is a daily Activities Sheet handed out with inspirational phrases and suggested opportunities. Even a daily exercise from your chair is included. I received Atria Welcome gifts and Christmas gifts from Staff Elves. Housekeeping comes weekly and there are laundry facilities provided on each of 3 floors. If you need something or have a problem, just call Front Desk. The bathroom has bars in shower with built-in seat and non-slip floor. Next to toilet is Alert Button if I need help. I wear an Alert on my neck too. My apartment is senior friendly and comfortable. It's like home and they treat me like family. My daughters are happy with my decision to come here and they stay in touch. It's been a hard year, been recently widowed after 45 years with my amazing Vietnam Veteran husband Bruce, but Atria is my new beginning for 2021.

Everything about Atria Willow Park was excellent. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. My wife's studio was small, but adequate. She was only there for a month. Every meal was excellent. They had activities every day, and she met a lot of friends when she was there. They had a theater and a hairdresser there. I had no complaints with any of the staff. They were all really nice. It was a little costly, but it was worth it.

I visited this facility

Atria Willow Park was a great place, and I hope they are still around when I, myself, get to that point. It was more like a mini-resort. They all have their own independent units with their own things. They take the residents out, they care for them well, they look out for them, and they have lots of things to do. It was not a nursing home type environment, which was a great thing to see. The dining room looked very accommodating.

My mom is currently at Atria Willow Park. It's perfect for my mom. Everybody is very friendly, busy, and happy. I like the outdoor areas. Her room is spacious and has nice windows with nice views. The staff is very friendly, professional, and asked a lot of questions that my mom enjoyed and was important to me. I feel like my mom is safe there.

Atria Willow Park was nice, but had more of a nursing home atmosphere even though they were assisted living. Their apartment was pretty small. I did not see activities going on, but there were some people walking around the facility or who came out to see what we were doing. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and answered our questions. We saw two apartments; one was a two-bedroom apartment and one was more of an efficiency. It was close to shopping and things like that, but again, you would have to be able to drive yourself or take their shuttle. It did have an odor to it, which was unpleasant. I think it was the chemical that they used for cleaning.

Atria Willow Park was excellent. My mother had an efficiency apartment with a bed and a living room altogether and a little kitchenette. The staff was accommodating, except in the dining room. They did not like to accommodate her motorized vehicle, but the food was excellent. They had bingo and a lot of activities. It was a very nice place. They just need to accommodate people in their dining room better.

If my father had to go to an assisted living, I would have put him in Atria Willow Park because it was bright and well managed. The staff was very accommodating and very thoughtful. They had studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. All the rooms were facing an open central atrium, and it was very nice. There seemed to be a lot of socialization, and the people clustered, which was nice. It was a really nice place, and they had a lot of different things.

The staff at Atria Willow Park was great. The place is beautiful and upscale just from the meals and linen napkins. It is attractive, and they are considered probably one of the leading assisted living for activities. They probably have 20 plus activities every single day that people can choose to take part in. My dad didn't choose to be a part of it, but it is one of the reasons he was there. I never had issues with billing. I never had any issues. In the two years, it was smooth sailing. They did everything well.

We visited friends who live at Atria Willow Park, and I love the open space. What I don’t love is the lack of view outside. You look out the window and you just see other buildings. I really feel at home with Atria. It seems like a very nice place and the people were very friendly and helpful. We did see one of the rooms, I could picture her there I thought that would be a nice place to live. They have a live band and they do dancing, and they have a laundry area where you can do your own laundry. You go outside and it’s well-kept. I would recommend Atria.

They take good care of my mother. She kind of doesn’t want to get out of her room but they encourage her. Atria Willow Park is a really nice facility. There’s exercise, bingo, movies, happy hour, a lot of card games and dominos. They have a library and a church. They go out to eat at restaurants and shop. Their staff has a bright attitude. I haven’t come across one who is not willing. It’s just a happy staff. Up-keeping was very good and the food was great. It’s kind of like a little hotel. It’s a very clean, happy community where there are lots of activities for people with different interests. The staff is wonderful and there’s always a smile in their faces. My mother doesn’t like to go out very much and they’re very encouraging to get her out her room. I would recommend Atria Willow Park to anyone who's trying to find a comfortable, pleasant place for their loved ones. It worked out for my mother and I’m very pleased with it.

Mom is in Atria for a month and a half now and everything is doing well. It is my sister who checks it out and they give her a good deal and a really good rate. It seems like a good place. It is very nice and the people are very helpful and the management seems to be fine. However, maybe they can make a better explanation of charges. For instance when they help out, there are certain things that they will charge you for. They may have told her that when she first get in, but being elderly, they don't always remember. When they come in and make her bed or run the vacuum, they charge her for that. That was kind of a little disappointment.

I would recommend Atria at Willow Park to others because it was a very good place. The independent living facility was separated from the assisted living facility and they had a nice set up for the independent living facility. They had a lot of activities for the old people and the price was competitive. In the future, if I want to go, I will go to Atria at Willow Park.

The facility was nice for the most part. The staff was friendly but they were also short staffed and overworked. For this reason they did not have time to give every patient the attention that they deserved. Our friend seemed happy enough for being in the situation he was in and he really liked his primary nurse at the care facility. Of course, he would have liked to just go back home but he understood it was not an option for him so he never complained too much. The food was pretty decent, not at all like what one would expect of hospital food or anything like that. There wasn't much in the way of amenities. They had a couple of TVs and some board games, puzzles, and other things like that, but nothing really stimulating--especially for someone who worked outside his whole life. I alwaays enjoyed visiting him there and we felt comfortable, as did he.

Friend or relative of resident

This facility lacked real attention for my great aunt who lived at Atria Willowpark. There was greater concern for making a profit than with actually making sure that the residents of Atria were comfortable and safe. The staff was stern (sometimes necessary), but usually there was no need for rudeness. Atria did, however, offer plenty of chances for socializing and excellent meals in their dining rooms and at their game tables. Most residents were very friendly, however, more attention could definitely have been paid to the residents than the profit that was being made. I would not give this facility above a 3 star rating until their staff and attention was more focused on the comfort of the residents.

Provider Response

Thanks for taking the time to share your review. I'm glad you and your great aunt enjoyed our events and dining experience, and I appreciate your feedback about our staff.
