I moved into Senior Star at Woodland Terrace. It is a very nice place. Everyone is very kind, very helpful, very patient, and professional, yet they make you feel like family. They have been outstanding. They try to accommodate everyone in the best way they can. Basically, the food is good. They try to deal with the residents' special dietary needs. They have games, dominoes, puzzles, coloring, painting, quilting, crocheting, exercises, and religious services. They have people that come in and sing. They take the residents on outings or to the grocery store. My apartment is clean, painted, and it has a wood floor. I cannot reach any cabinet in the kitchen area, but they've tried to accommodate me by getting me something else, and it's coming along just fine. They've had to do a few little things in the restroom, putting up another bar or so, and putting something there for me to hang on to for the tub, getting in and out. They try their best to help everyone here.

Senior Star at Woodland Terrace was a very nice facility. They had a lot of amenities, some big meeting rooms, a lot of books, and a lot of activities area. They have a nice foyer and dining area. It's three stories tall, and very close to all the shopping experiences and restaurants you might need. It's right on one of the busiest streets in coastal Oklahoma. You can go anywhere you want to within about a mile of your house; location is very important. We walked around and it was nice. The staff was very polite, I had a nice tour. Their staff was very polite. They have a very extensive activity calendar. The person who toured me around was one of the directors of activities, and they have a wide variety of activities. I don't know how many people they have there, but they said it's 80 to 100 rooms. There were a lot of activities for them. They have craft rooms and physical activity rooms like an exercise room. There's one where you exercise in a bicycle, and you can like go anywhere around the world. The apartments were nice enough and clean, but smaller compared to another place I saw. Everyone had their own individual greeting at their door. They have wide hallways, good access, and nicely carpeted interior. The painting was fine, it's just on the small side for me.

My mother will be moving into Senior Star at Woodland Terrace. The main reason that we moved there was it had the biggest living space, and also she knows two people that live there that went to her church. It's really clean and really nice. They had a special going on with one-bedrooms, which was our choice. I stopped by there one day last week because my mom got a table and chairs that she wanted to take, and I wanted to make sure that there'd be a place for them. They were still working on the apartment. Everybody was so friendly and nice. It was really nice. There's quite a few people, and the chef even came in and brought us some cookies to take home with us. The dining area was nice. I think they have different times for people to come down, and they have seating already assigned because of COVID and everything. We didn't try any of the other food, but her friend said that it was really good. They have a courtyard in the middle of a complex, and it's very nice, well-kept, and maintained. There were some benches and stuff out front if you want to go out there and sit in the shade or something. The chocolate chip cookies were really good.

Senior Star at Woodland Terrace was very nice and everybody was very friendly. There were lots of residents out in about, and a lot of people out having breakfast together. That's probably the place that we choose. The staff was super helpful. They had a lot of activities going on while we were there. They do trips out for lunch and shopping trips a couple of times a week, they have entertainment several times a week, art classes, and bingo. It was very kept up and very nice, all the areas that we've seen were very nice.

Senior Star at Woodland Terrace was very nice. The only thing was that I didn't really look at any of their apartments because none of them had a patio. I'd like a patio to be able to sit outside. Other than that, everything was fine. They were very friendly. It was nice and clean. The only other bad thing is that it's on a busy street, and my kids probably wouldn't come visit me there because it's a busy street. The person that welcomed me there was very nice.

Senior Star at Woodland Terrace was inviting but the location was the turn off. We found it relatively easy but we couldn't get out of the place to exit because of the traffic that was on 71st. If we have any visitors and they have to wait on traffic, it would be dangerous just to exit the premises. They had a nice menu and activities and their facilities were well kept. The tenants that were there chatted with us, and they touted it as an enjoyable and safe place to live. We got some cookies, which was a nice touch. They were warm when they gave them to us at the hour that we went there. The staff followed up with me a number of times. She was good and we like her.

My Dad recently moved to Woodland Terrace and what a blessing!!! We had looked at other Senior Independent Living Facilities -- but there is something so special about Woodland Terrace -- the PEOPLE!!!!! ALL of the staff is amazing, helpful, caring and they all go above and beyond. My Dad is loving his new home. He loves the food, the activities and all the people -- staff and residents. We couldn't have made a more perfect choice!

For my mother her 1 bedroom was just good for her since her mobility was very limited. She saw a 1 bedroom that was bigger and wanted to move. The staff was exceptional from maintenance to the Executive Director. My mom especially liked and interacted with Emma, the 1st person you meet when the door opens. The Salon was my mother's favorite place to visit. She really liked the lady who did her hair. It was always a highlight for her. She did not really participate in activities, much to my disappointment. There were many different activities and events offered. One that my mom did enjoy on occasions was the elementary school choir sang for the residents and sometimes when there was music played live downstairs. She is now in longterm care at another facility and she misses Woodland Terrace. I do to!

About Senior Star at Woodland Terrace - CLOSED in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Woodland Terrace is an independent living and retirement living community in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At Woodland Terrace, we share a common goal with every family who walks through our doors: we want the very best for our seniors. Decades of experience has shown us that giving "our all", frankly, isn't enough. At Woodland Terrace, our seniors must be on board, too ... experiencing the possibilities, reaching their potential, and living each day to its fullest. We see it as our responsibility (and great privilege) to provide the opportunities and inspiration for our residents to embrace senior living and thrive in their new lifestyle at Woodland Terrace.
Through the years, we at Woodland Terrace have identified many facets of healthy living that contribute to our residents' total well-being, such as environmental, nutritional, physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional factors. When we put them into action, they work together to keep the twinkle in the eye of our residents. We call this our LAUGH philosophy: Living And Understanding Greater Health. It works in many ways through our Senior Star Living communities, like Woodland Terrace. Participating in a brain fitness class may contribute to more than mental well-being by building new social relationships and prolonging independence. Breaking bread together in our dining room may nourish more than the body when you consider the lively conversation and positive atmosphere. Our attractive and bright individual residences can provide more than a safe environment when embellished with cherished belongings, personal mementos, and even the companionship of a small pet. Laughter, after all, is the best medicine. At Woodland Terrace, it all adds up to happier seniors in a healthier community.
Like you, we want the very best for our seniors. Our LAUGH philosophy helps us achieve this together at Woodland Terrace.
