This is a beautiful adobe style senior living community in the heart of the Tucson desert. It has gorgeous desert landscape and fantastic views of the surrounding area and mountains. It is a nonprofit organization.
This community offers seniors 60 years and older to find affordable living in their nown single family or town homes. There are a variety of floor plans, some including a great room, family room, open kitchens, utility rooms,private patios, formal dining room, and a variety of personalized features. These are beautiful homes. All are have Energystar ratings which is a government program for more affordable energy efficiency. They offer solar panels and solar heated water.
They also have 12 assisted living apartments which are handicapped equipped and have emergency call systems.
They have a full staff of nurses and certified caregivers. They have two doctors who visit. Other services are available as necessary.They offer 3 meals and snacks. Housekeeping and linen services,
The heart of this community is the Academy community center. They have a large dining room with a variety of foods which is very good. They also have a fitness room and a pool. They have a beauty shop, a large activities room, patio and bbq with courtyard. They also have their own wellness center which offers wellness and emergency care for residents. They have same day service for appointments.
This is a very activie community with hiking and biking trails, community events for musical entertainment as dances and concerts, potlucks, parties, holiday dinners, and almost any game or activity desired. They do a variety of exercise programs as water aerobics,cardio and strength, yoga, and massage therapy. They also offer volunteer programs and continuing education classes.
Definitely this is a perfect retirement community to check out.
I visited this facility
This is a new fecility, located at acadamy village in vail, AZ. This fecility is a small house of 12 residents. They also have a strong staff. They have 24/7 caregivers/med techs. The residents can also attend all the activities they have for acadamy village community. They also have top of the line appliances and one Bedroom apartment style rooms. They recieve 3 home cooked meals a day. This fecility is very well maintanced and feels like home.
