I have been living at Westview since 2008 - first tenant in this apartment which was really nice. As a native of Saratoga Springs, it was important to find senior housing in this area which allows me to walk to various places in the City. This was perfect. For independent seniors this is great - an ample parking, both several stairwells and an elevator for times when carrying bundles or those with difficulty climbing stairs. You have your choice of having a washer/dryer in the apartment or using the laundry room; refuse room for garbage removal; dishwasher in each apartment. Though there has been a turnover in managers and staff personnel, any questions, problems (few and far between) have always been handled promptly and efficiently. Smoke detectors in every apartment and furnaces are checked annually by maintenance. I love the wing I am in - neighbors are friendly and caring.

Westview Apartments is a senior housing with 60 some apartments. Mine is the smallest. It used to be a salon but it didn't work so they turn it into 450 square feet apartment. The others are 900 square feet with one or two bedroom. It is not that old but the facilities are in great shape. It has a nice parking. I only have a couple of cases where I need maintenance help and they have been very cooperative. They are constantly taking care of the place. They keep the place up and they keep the landscape up. They plow the driveways, the parking lots and the sidewalks. There are no problems here. It is just on the outskirts of the Saratoga Springs, which is a tourist city and has many amenities for senior citizens. The countryside is beautiful and the weather is moderate for New York State. It is just a wonderful place to live.

Dad used to be in Westview apartments for about a year and a half. It's a nice place. He was fine, he was able to come and go as he wanted. It's a senior apartment, so there was nobody to take care of them. There's only a manager, no staff. And the problem was he started wandering and he said he's walking around and forgot how to get to his apartment. So the police had to come and that's why I had to place him in an assisted living facility.
