Holiday The Tremont was not upscale like the other places. It's more in the affordable area. The staff was very nice. The food was edible. They give you a variety. I was there for lunch. I had fish, scallops, potatoes, and fruit. It was nice as far as the food goes. It's more of the independent living. It is less expensive. The staff from top to bottom was excellent. They're really good. The location is good. It's on a street where their connections are quite good.

We visited Holiday the Tremont. The place is nice and spacious. There were two bedrooms that were perfect for my sister. The food is delicious. The people were incredibly nice. There were lots of activities to do. The staff was very nice. They answered all my questions. They're enjoying what they did and enjoying the people around them. A very nice place to live.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We have found Holiday the Tremont for my mother. The atmosphere is very friendly. They have a lot of amenities, a very spacious apartment, and it is independent living. The location is important, too. The food is very good. They have a lot of activities, and that's another reason we chose that. They have bingo, they have arts and crafts, they have outings once a week, and they have shopping excursions also. They have a pool, which is nice, but right now nobody's using it. It's a little cool for seniors to be in the pool. I wanted to use it though. There's a lot of amenities. Another reason I chose that is they have two things on the property so that you can age in place. They have an outside agency where you can get memory assistance and physical therapy. Your doctor orders it and that way the insurance pays for it, as opposed to assisted living where it's just an exorbitant amount. The other thing that they have is they also have an agency onsite. It's like a caregiver comes to your room and you can hire a caregiver for different levels, too. So as Mom needs more care, they are right there, and we can hire them. They also have a little chapel there, and they have services in that little chapel and Mom really likes that. They let me stay the weekend to get Mom settled, so I was there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and then Monday day. So I ate with her and I showed her what buttons to push and whether to go left or right. She has a scooter and a walker, and so it's different when you're walking than when you're on the scooter, and so we did both ways. So that was another feature that they let you stay, and you could enjoy the food without an additional cost to help get your loved one acclimated. I didn't know that was a benefit when I went in, but I just said, "I'm going to stay the weekend and I'll be glad to pay for the meals." And they said, "Don't worry about it. We encourage the families to do that because that really helps the loved ones to feel at home."

I toured Holiday The Tremont. The building was clean and fantastic. The people were caring. They showed you around. They explained the services that they provided, which was grand. However, when I sat down and looked at the price of everything, I said no. I'm not paying that much right now for my mortgage, and this is like three times my mortgage, so it's not really what I want to do. The best thing there was the service. I talked to a few of the people who were outside sitting on the veranda, and they liked it. The apartment layouts were great. It was the first one I visited, and I really like it because it's close, and the proximity to the area where I live now is not far away. I don't want to have to travel an hour and a half or 45 minutes to get somewhere. They have a library and a place where you can play games or do puzzles. You can just stay in your room and watch TV or whatever it is that suits you. They've even got an outside place where they have festivities and things like that. It keeps people busy. Everything was clean. Nothing was out of place, dirty, or anything like that.

The location of the Holiday the Tremont was great. The place itself looked really clean. The units they had to offer were really cute. My mom liked the setup and the size. The downside was the menu. It didn't look very appetizing. There was a lot of fish. We like fish maybe once or twice a week, but not as a constant. They have a shuttle for shopping. They said most people within six months or so give up their car, because they find that they get so much from going with other people in a group on that shuttle that they don't really end up using their car that often. Mom liked the pool and they offer water aerobics and things like that. They offer Bible studies, which she was interested in right on campus. The people that worked there were super nice and the residents seemed friendly. Diana was very nice. The facility was very nice, clean, and well kept.

The tour I had at Holiday The Tremont was bad from the start. We pulled in, the building had white siding and it was all green algae and mold growing on the outside. When I went in, I could tell it was an older building. It was very oldish looking. The model room they took me into was just not impressive. They only had kitchenettes, not full kitchens in their apartments, and they had big bulky separate air conditioners, like in a hotel. The clubhouse smelt like mold and the pool looked green. They served us lunch and it was a very small portion. I had the pot roast and it tasted like canned pot roast. The person that gave me the tour wasn't bad. He just wasn't as great as everybody else at every other place. That was only one mile from my house and I was looking forward to my parents living close, but I was very disappointed. I think they need to do the upkeep on the outside of the building and maybe do a little remodeling inside. They were very expensive for the facility. So, they were ridiculous in their pricing.

I visited Holiday the Tremont. I thought it was an excellent facility. It was impeccably clean, very well furnished, and had quality furniture. The entire staff that I encountered were very friendly, very professional, and very helpful. The apartment included a refrigerator, it wasn't huge, but it was a generous size. I looked at a one-bedroom with a patio, and it was $3,190 a month. I was very impressed. Three meals a day are included. There were all kinds of activity rooms, theater rooms, and it was very well laid out and had very easy access to everything.

Holiday The Tremont had assisted living through independent contractors, which was one thing that we weren't interested in having, but we did go and view the community. The staff who toured us around was great. The rooms were good. Everything was good except for the fact that the service that we were looking for was different than what they were offering. They have a nice entrance. The building was nice. They got nice elevators. The staff showed us a couple of rooms. They got patios in some of the rooms, which was nice. They also showed me a calendar full of activities that the residents could do.

I have chosen Holiday The Tremont. I saw it six months ago, but I wasn't ready to make any changes. I went again, and I liked it much better. I found a room that I could afford. It is very well-kept. The people seemed to be very friendly. Pets are allowed, and I liked it. The rooms are clean. There's a game room and a pool. You can do cards or whatever. They have a library. People have exercise classes. They have treatments for physical therapy. There's a large atrium area where you can gather with people, talk, and do other activities. There is a large dining room. The food seems great. I met the physical therapist, the assistant manager, and the manager. They were all friendly.

Holiday The Tremont was very nice. The lady at the front desk gave me the tour and showed me a couple of the rooms. They were spacious. They were having lunch at the time that I was there, and it was lovely the way they had everybody seated around different tables. Everybody was very friendly. The staff seemed very good. They said that they were looking for a new cook, but that was like two months ago when I was there. The rooms were nice and spacious. There was enough room for a bed and a chair, and it had a bathroom. They had a studio and a one-bedroom that had a living area, but you had to buy your own furniture. They didn't have anything with furniture. They said that they play games. I know there was an outdoor area where you could go and smoke (if you so desire to smoke). There was a pool there. You could have your own car if you wanted to. They said they also had a vehicle that would drive people to their doctors' appointments once a week.

I took my sister to tour Holiday The Tremont. It's a few miles from my house. I like a lot of things about it. The people are very friendly. They were very helpful, and they're willing to work with us on everything that we're looking at. They showed us the different rooms and they were very flexible with their times to show us the rooms. I liked everything about it myself, but my sister is just not emotionally ready. She has some mental issues. One room was just very small, and it was a studio. Just a bedroom and a living area, and it was just too small for her. And it had a nice layout. It was nice, it had the refrigerator and the microwave and a little place for TV, but not much else. I don't think it even had a bedroom. It was just one room, basically, and a bathroom. Then there was one other that had a room and a bathroom. It had a separate bedroom, but then I could tell she just couldn't look at it anymore. She just had to leave. She's schizophrenic and she couldn't handle that. I had to take her home. They showed us the lunchroom and they had a little game room. And they had a place for a little chapel, and places to read a book like a library.

I went to Holiday The Tremont. It was clean, and it was quiet. There wasn't any kind of activity anywhere when I went there, but I went there at 3:00 in the afternoon. The staff during the tour was a little bit brusque, but he was helpful. You can have your pet. I was looking at a handicapped room that had a roll-in shower. They have a pond to fish in and a pool to swim in. They had full refrigerators and kitchenettes in all the rooms. They had patios. Everything looked like it had been kept up well.

I was able to see the Holiday The Tremont. It was nice. I liked that people seemed very friendly. I had lunch there, and everybody seemed very friendly. They assigned an ambassador to the new people that come in, which is a person who's living there already, to show them the ropes. They make sure that they're OK and check on them. It was nice. It's a little older place, so it's not as up-to-date. They don't have a full kitchen. They have a kitchenette, and there's just a little tiny refrigerator. The staff was very, very pleasant, and the food was OK. The layout was really good. Everything was communal. It was not new and glitzy. The rooms were a little bit old and like a Florida kind of thing. They had a trainer or a person that you could go and work with for exercising. They had a small courtyard and a covered pool area next to a conference room-type place, where you could have parties and things with family.

I went to tour Holiday The Tremont. It was very good. I liked everything about it. The only thing I didn't know was what it would cost for a one-bedroom, and I didn't know if it was doable for my husband. Other than that, the location, the facility, the activities, the meals, and everything were very good. The staff were very good and very friendly. Everybody there was very friendly. It was exceptionally clean, above and beyond.

I toured The Tremont last week and I really liked it. It was a very beautiful place, it had a beautiful dining room, there were a lot of activities going on, and they had several floor plans. It was very clean. I looked at several different floor plans, and the one I liked the most was a corner room with one bedroom, one bath, and a small balcony. They had lots of windows that I liked, and I just saw the tops of the trees, which was a good view for me. They had a card game going on, there was a pool table and an air-hockey table, and there were other tables with games already set up on them. They had a big library, an exercise room, and a room for Medicare-covered physical therapy. They had laundry rooms on each floor for the residents to use. They had weekly housekeeping come in, and the housekeeper changed the towels, linens, and all that. They're the ones who furnish the linens and towels, too, so that’s one thing we don't have to worry about. They said they had like 288 more places in forty-three states connected with them, and that you are able to stay there for seven days at a time. All you need is your transportation and I guess extra spending money. They provide three meals a day, each of the apartments has a full refrigerator and a little sink, and you can bring in a hot plate or a slow cooker.

I enjoyed the visit to The Tremont very much. It was a very, very nice place, but it was a little bit out of my price range for the monthly cost. It kind of caught me by surprise with their community fee. I'm familiar with these fees, and they're basically charged by the month; they want all of theirs up front, and that's the part I disagree with. What if my sister goes there and stays for six months? She doesn't get any of that upfront money back and that's what they're trying to do. All I met was the administrator, and he was excellent. I could see the staff off at a distance, but I just didn't get to see them in action. The whole place was immaculate, so there had to be a very high quality staff. Everything looked very calm and cool. They showed me a sample room. I don't know if that's representative of actual rooms, but I would not turn them down if I had the finances to meet their requirements. It was beautiful, very spacious, and plenty of things for people to do. They had a very nice dining room. I did not see the residents in the dining room, but it looked like there was plenty of room for them. The people that live there were free to come and go outdoors to maybe walk around the block or something like that. I also saw a printout of the menu, and it looked sumptuous.

We looked at The Tremont. It's a little bit outside our budget at this time, but it was very nice. The only problem that we had was the meals. The meals are part of the rent, and it would be constantly put on the rent bill. Other than that, it was very, very nice. The dining area was very nice. The rooms were small. We know that we have to get rid of a lot of stuff, but I think the room would be adequate. The facility looked like a cruise ship. It was clean and everything was neat and orderly, big, and bright. The rooms were very nice and very well kept. The staff was excellent, very friendly, and answered all our questions. He even gave us a folder of activities to take home. We got to meet the manager of the activities room. They have trivia, karaoke, bingo, movie night, and card games. It was ideal, and it was really nice. At this time without the need for any type of assistance and the way that we have to pay for the food, it's just a little bit too expensive. We're paying for food that we're not eating for 4-1/2 to 5 months a year. You could travel and stay at any one of the Holiday buildings that they have. You can stay at any one throughout the country twice a year per week. I wouldn't mind paying for the food, but we're very independent right now. We don't really need to pay for that kind of thing right now. The only thing that I've seen that could even begin to be a complaint would be the room size, but that's something that you got to get used to; they were adequate. They had a big swimming pool, exercise equipment, ping-pong table, and pool table. They had everything you could possibly imagine.

My brother had moved into The Tremont. However, we had to move him out due to a medical emergency. It's a beautiful and very clean place. He liked the food, and I liked the way it was all set up. The elevator was easily convenient for the residents. The landscaping was beautiful, the entire atmosphere was beautiful, and the hospitality was the top of the top notch of everything. Everybody was very nice. They had some activities for them. They had the bingo, they had church for them, they had a convenient barbershop right there available to them, and they had outdoor activities as well as indoor activities. They had several things for them to do. They also had an exercise room and a pool. His studio apartment was very convenient for him. We had everything that he needed in there. However, they don't have enough medical assistance there for some of the clients. They have companies on the outside that they can call in, but as for someone there to check in on them on a regular basis, they don't have that.

My mother moved into The Tremont. We like it a lot. It seems like a good fit for her. I feel like she's taken care of. The staff is friendly, helpful, and supportive. They call you if they have any questions or concerns or if there are any changes of behavior. The food is OK. She doesn't say that it's awesome or bad. With her age she doesn't have as big of an appetite anymore, so she doesn't necessarily always eat at all, but she doesn't complain about it either. Her room is good. Most of them have private little balconies or patios. The dining room is fine. They have residents separated, so they're six feet apart when they're eating. They have multiple activities throughout the day. They do bingo, musicians come in and sing, there's arts and crafts, movie and popcorn, and church services. It's a little expensive.

I was very impressed with The Tremont, from the menu, to the way they are coping with the virus crisis and making the residents feel comfortable. Social distancing was practiced and the staff was making sure that everyone was temperature checked coming in. My mother was allowed to go in because I had talked to the administrator about it, but I was the only one allowed to go in until we actually moved her in. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff towards the residents and how the facility looked good; it was well cared for. I was impressed overall as well with the food menu.

My tour at The Tremont was fine. I understand it was shaped like a cruise ship, based on the owner's mother, going cruises. My impression was okay, I ate there and the food was fine. They had an exercise room, a game room, they had a community area, and a library. I tried the food, it was fine like typical institution food. The staff there was also fine. They had a program where high school kids come in as servers. Nothing really stood out, except that there's a difference between continuing care communities versus independent and assisted living ones. That's the only thing I noticed.

The Tremont had everything available, and I was surprised that they actually have a chapel there. I did stay for lunch, and I have interacted with the people there. Another thing that impressed me there that they have guest rooms and that if I had people come in from out of town to visit me, they would be able to stay in the guest room, which would be $75, and that included the rooms and food. There is a library, a place for internet, and card games, and if I wanted to have a family dinner or get together, they have a room, and I would have a private room like on Christmas or birthdays. They go to the grocery store or concerts. The rooms have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, and you can bring your microwave. I was impressed with the staff and the people running it. And if I ever was travelling and was near one of the Holiday Retirement, I would be able to go and stay, and it would not cost me anything for a week.

It was refreshing to go in there because of the way it was decorated. I saw a one-bedroom apartment, and it looked very nice. I felt very welcomed, and I had a feeling that if I could go there tomorrow, I would be very happy there. I was also very pleased to know that the managers live on the property. Plus, they have other security.

I visited The Tremont. I liked that they had a lot of activities for the people if they wanted to, or they could be independent and not participate if they didn't want to. They also had 3 meals a day. It was like having an apartment independently, but you had a supporting structure around you. I also remember there was a hair cutter there. They had nurse on staff, but it was not an assisted living. It was like a hotel or a resort. They had a nice pool. They had meetings for veterans. They had so many activities, but I really don't remember all of them. It was one of my top considerations.

I loved The Tremont. I was so satisfied, and I had all my questions answered. Everything that I needed was fulfilled in the sense of what I was looking for. It was also very close to where my daughter lives, so that was like a big plus. I had a great time during my visit. They had a guest room where if my family comes from Puerto Rico to visit me, they had enough facilities for them to stay.

I looked at The Tremont. I felt it was very good. I called the apartment a white box. It was just a nondescript tiny little box; that's what it looked like to me. That turned me off completely. It was too tight, tiny, too generic, and there was no kitchen. My mother couldn't live like that, and I knew it was not going to work. She needed more upscale things. However, the staff was very accommodating and very nice. They seemed very knowledgeable. The dining area was very nice. Some of the residents were outside, so they were mobile, and they were not just sitting around. They were doing things. I had nothing against it. I just don't think my mother would like that at this time.

I was very impressed with the Tremont. The staff was extremely gracious, very nice, and very knowledgeable about their services. They made me feel very comfortable. It was very clean. I looked at a one bedroom apartment, and it was quite small, but I think it is just standard throughout most of these places. The dining room was beautiful, and the common areas were very nice. The food was excellent.

The only one I visited was Tremont; it was fine, but it’s just too far from my house. I wanted something a little closer. It was clean, and it was one apartment only. They only have like 300 residents -- a small community. It is a one bedroom and a small living room. The staff was very helpful, and they have a calendar of activities; they have cooking, card games, and they have exercise. It was very clean and updated; it wasn’t old.

The Tremont was a more expensive facility. It was more like a hotel. It was like you're living in a fancy hotel. The staff was very upfront, very friendly, and very wanting to help.

I've got my mom in The Tremont. We chose it because we just got a good feeling about it. It is just very nice. It is a very clean place. They do lots of things for the people there, and that's what I want for my mom for as long as she can do it. They all go out to the dining room for meals. They have entertainment and exercise. My mom has her own little apartment there. We really like it. Everybody is just very caring. We ate there, and I think it was the best salmon I ever had. They do a variety soups, salads, veggies, and desserts. Every meal that I have had there has been very nice.

The Tremont is just a lovely place. It is strictly retirement. It is wonderful. It is all inclusive, which is absolutely unbelievable. My first impression of it was that it was very clean and just very attractive. The people were friendly. The staff's work ethics was wonderful. They were very friendly, too. They showed us around and took care of us. It was just a very appealing place. I saw their rooms. They were very attractive. I saw one furnished and one not furnished. They were a pretty good size. They would also clean your room every week. They also showed us different activity rooms. They have a TV room, an exercise room, and a beautiful swimming pool. We saw some people playing games and some playing cards. Also, they would bring their residents shopping. We had lunch there, and the food was excellent. They have a chef. They would supply three meals a day, and their choices were unbelievable. There was too much to eat to select from, and it was very attractive. They tasted good, too. Overall, what I like best about this place was the outer and inner appearance. Also you can have a pet there. They have three levels, and at the first level, they have a little patio outside the room for your pets.

I was very impressed with Tremont; it was a great facility. They showed us three rooms: a two-bedroom, one-bedroom, and a little one that looks like an efficiency room. The staff I spoke with was very nice. When you walk in you see the dining room, and it is very welcoming. It felt like if I had my parents there, they would be able to fit in and get their meals there. The variety looks very good. They could also handle dietary dishes. They have a swimming pool, and they showed us as far as they had games and the trips that they could do.

I was very impressed with The Tremont and this was the first facility that I've visited. I couldn’t say enough good words about them because they were great. The facility is wonderful. The rooms are very nice and the hospitality is just wonderful. I really, really like this facility. I like the location as it's wonderful. I also like the things with what they had to offer for the residents. They took the residents out with their little buses on a regular timely basis. The food from what they showed us was extraordinary. The residents there were more dressed up. You didn’t feel like you were in a nursing home setting. It was very, very nice.

I had been to The Tremont several times. It is only 15 to 20 minutes away from where I'm located right now but a little farther away from the people that would come and visit me. I have no relatives but I do have church family. Nevertheless, this was a lovely place. Their rooms were beautiful. Their dining room also looked beautiful and the food was good. The staff there was wonderful, although I found their director a bit cold. Maybe they have to appear that way because I think people in that authority have to have that cold exterior.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My sister and I started looking at independent living facilities about 2 years. ago. My sister visited several in the area. When the time came that we needed to place our mother in a home, she returned to the Treemont 2 years later. What struck her was that it was the same employees she had seen 2 years previously and the co-managers remembered our mother's name and her situation. The place was clean, odorless, orderly. There are many activities planned, and the food is good. Our mom has been in the facility now for 2 months. We are most pleased with all aspects of the facility!

The Tremont is a very well kept place. The staff is really helpful. We got activities every hour of the day. We play bingo and go shopping two to three times a week. We go to the grocery store every week. Everything you need, you've got it here. They also provide all the food for the residents.
