I visited this facility

This facility was not the best I have seen nor was it the worst. Staff was not as friendly as other places I have visited though. I did notice a odor in the air and the lobby was not as tidy as it should be. The residents did not seem to be as alert or bright as I felt they could have been. Staff did not seem to be as engaging as I felt they could have been. I saw several residents sitting alone and looked like they wanted to talk to someone. I approached one and sat and chatted for about 10 minutes and his affect turned right away. I asked did he has family to visit and he said his family comes sometimes. I asked staff about his family and they could not answer they simply did not know if he had family or if they visited. I asked how lone he had been there and they said for about 4 years I then asked how long she had been ther and she said 6 years. Need I say more that is not acceptable that you have worked there that long and do not know him or his family. I just twas not impressed with this place like some of the others. It was ok I would not write home aout this place. Staff just did not seem to be engaged with the residents and this distrubed me. Not sure I would want my loved one placed here.
