With a capacity for only 38 residents, The Country Home is small enough to ensure individualized Alzheimer's care, 24/7, but large enough to offer your loved one a variety of senior companions. We truly offer a family home environment--the management team has over 54 years collective experience at The Country Home!
The lack of staff turnover means continuity of care, and staff familiarity with all residents so they can promptly spot any changes and alert family and medical professionals. Our Directors of Resident Care and Dining Services actually live in The Country Home and the two owners live in a private residence less than 50 yards away. This means they can almost instantly provide expert back-up assistance to on-duty staff 24/7 in any emergency. That fact alone motivates many families to seriously consider The Country Home. Other Alzheimer's homes have managers and RN's that float among several corporate facilities, many miles apart.
The Country Home offers personalized, professional care 24/7, at a fixed fee that is usually 30, 40, or even 50% less than you could pay in a glitzier, larger facility that has a variety of entry or community fees, service level fees, medication level fees, extra shower fees, laundry fees, and more. I visited this facility
I was told the care was very good in The Country Home. The staff there seem to be attentive to the patients, but I saw lots of other patients that are unattended with no activities. The facility is an older looking home. It wasn't dirty, but the furniture was old. It looked like it needs an uplift.
