I think that The Meridian (Westland) retirement community in Lakewood, Colorado is an excellent choice. It is located in a very nice neighborhood with a fantastic view of the mountains. It is close to the highways, as well as shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities. The entire community is beautiful, from the apartments to the common areas to the grounds. There are 1 and 2 bedroom options in the floor plans. The apartments were fairly large and had balconies and walk in closets. There are many amenities offered to the residents. There is an a putting green, library, hair salon, arts & crafts room, exercise room and billiards room. I also liked the dining room and the bistro. There are also many activities planned such as crafts, games, classes, as well as community trips. The schedule includes something to appeal to everyone. I also liked the grounds, which had paths to walk and sitting areas. I would highly recommend this retirement community
