Rock Creek is happily owned by Holiday Retirement which means that there are MANY exciting programs and opportunities that are made available to the residents, such as the Travel Program, which is unlike any other senior living travel program I have seen and is something really worth checking out, I know residents who have chosen the facility just after learning about the Travel Program - so seriously, even if you don't check out the facility, read about the Travel Program. Many amenities, services, living options, care options - really there are options for just about everything. It's one of the things that makes Rock Creek and all Holiday communities so perfect - all of the options. Having options are very important with in a community. Moving in to a senior living community can be overwhelming, intimidating, frustrating, and involve so many other mixed emotions, so residents who move in to a senior community and find that they have so many options can really help them to adapt to the community. People do not realize how much this actually helps, it gives the residents some control over their lives and a sense of independence. Having options could really be the difference between a resident adjusting comfortably to a community or not adjusting at all. It is important - very, very important, so when I walk in to a facility like Rock Creek and see all of the amazing options and wonderful choices the residents have to choose from, it really puts a lasting smile on my face.

The facility is really beautiful, the facility is perfectly designed and laid-out conveniently. It is easy to see that the residents have a life of convenience. When visiting a community, I often put myself in the residents shoes and look at the amenities, services, and such from their perspective to see if they are things that are actually senior living appropriate, for example, I once saw tanning booths in a senior living residence - I don't know about you, but I personally do not know any residents who make tanning a priority in their lives. Residents are at stages in their lives where their skin can be very sensitive and tanning could be very dangerous to the residents skin and health, so for a facility to think that would be a popular service obviously did not have the residents in mind when implementing the amenities and services. Now this is just one example of what I have seen and the reason I mentioned it is because it is important to find a community where the amenities and services and options are made up of things that the residents themselves would personally pick out if they had the chance. So when I am in a facility like Rock Creek looking at the amenities, services, and such from a residents perspective and I see that every single option is something that the residents would enjoy, and then when I speak to the residents and they confirm how much they love all of the services and amenities offered and then when I also see just how popular the options are by seeing how often they are utilized by the residents makes me realize that I am in a community whose main priority and focus is on each and every resident. When you can realize that yourself about a community, then that community is one to seriously consider.

There are many common areas and place for the residents to socialize, relax, and spend time with loved ones. There are many activities, events, and entertainment always taking place around the community. The residents here all seem very active and the staff has made it so there are always new things to learn and experience around the community.

Rock Creek is an excellent community. The staff are amazing, very nurturing, very friendly. They are determined to provide each and every resident the highest quality of care and service each and every day. It is a very welcoming community and it always seems like new residents adapt to the community fairly quickly.
