This is a great facility - the style is very Long Island. The design and furnishings are modern yet has this classic charm about it. Atria is one of my favorite line of senior living communities, I don't know how they do it - because I am a very picky person when it comes to senior living communities - but somehow I rarely find a community of theirs that I am disappointed or concerned with. I think the one of the features I like the most about Atria, after having been to many of them scattered across the nation - is that no matter the location or the setting, they make every community fit the style and taste of the communities and people surrounding it. For example, if the community were located in the forest or wooded area than the facility would have more of a woodsy feel to it, and same with the beach, or the city, etc. I know this is a small thing but it shows me that they do everything they can to adapt to the locations and the people in those locations instead of the other way around. I think it's Atria's way of telling residents that they will adapt to them, their individuality, their personalities and lifestyles.

The grounds are beautiful - the residents love spending time out there. There's this water fall/fountain area that opens in to a pond that is surrounded by greenery and flowers - it is gorgeous. There are walking paths and lots of places to sit and socialize.

The interior is just as lovely. It is designed to make the facility look very open and cheerful and bright. I like that the colors chosen are all very light, whites and neutrals - it makes the facility feel so airy and I love that they have a lot of windows allowing natural light to pour in. There are so many areas for the residents to move about, socialize, entertain family and friends, participate in activities, join in social events and parties, and everything else that takes place in the community - It is the PERFECT environment for active and social Independent Living residents. It's also in the perfect location - so close to everything the residents could every want or need - shopping, restaurants, theaters and entertainments, they can spend the day at the beach, and a number of fun and wonderful things. The residents go on group outings to many of these places often and there are also places to play golf close by. This really is, again, an ideal community and location for independent living residents - Atria made a very smart move by placing Cutter Mill in this spot. You should really visit the community and it's surrounding areas to see what I am talking about.
