I like Holiday Quincy Place. It's got everything I was looking for and the people and the personnel here are extremely easy to work with. The facility is clean. I've only been here a little less than a week, but they keep it clean. I like the facility and the management and so forth. I like the food. It's very good. I have a one-bedroom apartment and it's almost the identical size to the one that I moved out of. They have a game room, a card room, and a chapel. So, they have a lot of things that you could do here. They have a bus, but I have my own vehicle. The people here are very friendly.

I toured Holiday Quincy Place. It was nice, clean, and open. The people were friendly. Everyone looked well cared for and like they were enjoying themselves. I looked at three different apartments. The studio was very small, but they all had a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, a sink, and a couple of cupboards. They were doing some renovations, too. The staff who toured me was very nice. She listened to what my needs were. It looked like they could accommodate everything I needed.

My mom has moved into Holiday Quincy Place. I like the facility, the staff, and the price. I also like the dining area and the activities that they have. The staff are very helpful. As for activities, they take the residents out once a week. They go to other restaurants once a week. They have arts and crafts, and sometimes they have some musicians that come in. The care and services are very good. However, they need to have a better menu. With regards to cleanliness, it's just beautiful. They do a very nice job. Aesthetically, it looks very nice.

Holiday Quincy Place had a very nice apartment. We liked everything about the community, except the apartment didn't have a kitchen. They have a place where you can have meals, but with no kitchen, we could hardly have breakfast and lunch in the apartment. There was a little area where they could do some exercise. The dining area was very nice and lovely. They had a little bit of activities but not many. They had Bible study, a sewing group, and puzzles. There wasn't a whole lot else. The staff who assisted us was very good and did a fine job of showing us the place. In terms of cleanliness, it was very clean. They're mediocre all the way. I think they probably need more staff. It was clean and stuff like that, but I don't think they have enough staff to take care of everything.

The representative that I spoke with at Holiday Quincy Place was very helpful and very knowledgeable and had a lot to offer. He showed me the facilities. The facilities were very nice and very clean. I also toured a studio apartment there for my dad. They had an independent third-party group that provides some memory care, but it's independent of the facility itself. They were very clean. They had a lot of options there if it was for independent care. They have a library and they have hairstylists and a beautician on staff. I got there around lunchtime. The lunchroom was incredibly clean and organized and the staff there greeted me and they were very nice. They're very kind people.

My sister-in-law has moved into Holiday Quincy Place. We were particularly impressed with the staff and their attentiveness, and obvious concern about meeting our needs. The place is well kept. The residents seem to be friendly. For the services and the space available and all of that, we thought that it was quite a good value. The food was pretty good. The flavors were good and the variety was good. I like the choices that were available. I had two meals there and they were good. The choices always included fresh vegetables, and it didn't seem particularly institutional. They seem to have a pretty full schedule and a variety of in-community and out-of-the-community options that they do. We actually observed, while we were moving in, a couple doing ballroom dancing. There were residents enjoying the demonstration as well as the music.

I am moving in at Holiday Quincy Place next week. The place was very friendly and very well managed. It was very clean. I loved the well-developed activity plans. The food was not excellent, but it tasted really good. It was a really good price, too. Parking was OK. The staff was very knowledgeable and willing to help and do what needed to be done. Most of them had been there for several years, and so were some of the residents. I met several residents when I was there, and they were very open, friendly, and willing to share. I'm getting a studio. It was very spacious and very well set up. They had 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom apartments available. They had puzzles, outings to various places, mahjong, movie nights, a card room, and a billiard table. They've got a good library of movies. They had a small library, a movie room, and a chapel.

Holiday Quincy Place was a nice building, and in their kitchens was a very small apartment sized refrigerator, not a full size. They're calling it full size, but it's smaller. They have different floor plans. We saw one apartment, the kitchen was very small, but they were a very clean, nice, nice facility. We're not interested in the meal amenities, but they offered all of that. The tour guide was very nice. They have a little courtyard, entrance with benches and that kind of thing, and then they're next to a park, I think within walking distance. One of the residents took us on the tour, because the manager had something wrong with his foot or something, so he had one of the residents take us, but she was knowledgeable and very good.

I visited Holiday Quincy Place. I loved it. If I decided to move, I was going to move in there. But the price and everything at another place, I changed my mind. I had a meal there, I had something with tarragon, maybe it was spaghetti or something. The food gets a five, the dining room gets a five; It was great. They had different rooms where they did things. They have three meals a day. The place is great, it's just that I require cheaper.

I went to Quincy Place. Their food was good. The tour guide was high-pressure. I would give him a 3 because he just wanted you to sign on the dotted line now. It is a nice place, but very expensive. They were a lot more than the other facility. Price-wise, for what you get, I chose the better of the two. The facility is very nice; it has been remodeled. It looks good, it is a nice place, it is just too costly for me. Upkeep is fine.

I like everything about Quincy Place. I like the staff, and the facility is closer to my home than the other one I saw. They were just great to follow through, they follow up with me. They were able to answer all questions and give me all the information that I needed. And if there's not an opening at the assisted living we looked at, this place would be my next choice. I haven't tried the food but I looked at them, they look good and they have great snacks. I think it's excellent for somebody who has relatives to assist them. If you are independent but can't live on your own, they have so many services to keep you independent and to keep you busy. I think that's wonderful for the people there. They have a gym, salon, theater, library, a computer room, and they have tours to different places, even up to the mountains. They do all of that and they have their own buses to take them to the doctors. You can have a great life there and still do your own thing, it's just good.

The people at Quincy Place were very nice. They were very informative and knew all the things that they had. It was interesting to see all the activities, and we toured several departments. So, they gave us a good overview of what the location was. The studio was too small for us. We weren't ready to downsize that much, but the one-bedroom was nice. It had a cooktop and a tiny refrigerator. We had lunch and the food was great. I think they had a good selection. The dining area was large and the people who brought the food were great. They catered to what our tastes were. The place was also well-maintained.

We looked at Quincy Place, and my friend liked it. I like everything about it. It was very nice and very well maintained. The person who gave us the tour knew everything. We met people in the hall, and he knew their names, which was nice because sometimes the directors don't know everybody's names. The dining room was pleasant. We didn't get a chance to eat there, but it looked good from where we saw it. We like the amenities. They've got the dining room, they've got washers and dryers on every floor, they have like a TV area and a pool table, they've got a place where you can play games, they have a library, and they have a computer that everybody could use. The few residents we met were very friendly. I was very impressed.

I did a tour of Quincy Place. There was something I disliked about it. It was small, and it doesn't have that many residents. Because of that, it inevitably wouldn't have that many activity offerings; not that many diversions. It looked fine, it was clean, and it was quiet. It was almost too quiet. By that, I mean nobody seemed to be doing anything, but that's kind of what bothered me. I was positively impressed, but as I said, it lacks some things that made me disinterested. The staff was pleasant, and they were friendly. I saw a list of activities, but I didn't see anything happening. It was sort of a calendar that I saw. The facility is clean.

My mom likes Quincy Place. I used to visit her daily and now she tells me that I don't have to because she's got plenty of things to do and people to talk to, which is wonderful. The only thing is they're short-staffed on things, just like everybody is right now, but they are wonderful people. They're positive, friendly, happy, and helpful. There were only two available apartments left when we made a choice. When we first were looking, there were several and they'd gotten them all filled, so we didn't get the apartment we wanted, but I still think she got a nice apartment. They also have exercises, yoga, physical therapy, exercises, an in-house beautician that does nails, haircuts and toenails, activities, and games going on all the time. They have a little store area where they can buy things too, and that's open two days a week. Plus they have numerous rooms where they can play cards and do different activities.

We went to Quincy Place. It was really nice, and it was great. It was really neat. The staff who took us on the tour was a really neat guy. It was a lovely place. I thought it would be perfect, but it just wasn't meant to be. It was just a nice facility. It had a lot going on for the seniors, and it just seemed very well taken care of. The staff was great. He was very accommodating. There were only two rooms available to see, and they were both in the process of being re-carpeted and painted; we just got to peek in. We saw the exercise room, the game room, and all the different little areas. We saw some of the residents, and everybody seemed pretty happy. It was a nice experience. The dining area was nice-looking. I like that it was small. It didn't feel institutional. This was only a three-story place, and it had nice grounds. It had a more intimate feeling. It was just smaller, and I liked that.

My sister will be moving into Quincy Place. The management is wonderful. It's top notch. The apartments were great; they're fantastic. I'm so thrilled. She has an outside balcony, and the place is very good. They have quite a few activities, and they have a bunch of clubs that people can join. I think it's pretty active. I had a meal there and it was wonderful. They had a chapel, a place where you get your hair done, an exercise room, a pool table, and several other things. The staff was very good. The grounds were nice, and the area was really good. I'm very pleased. They're keeping it updated and everything. I'm very happy. She has a bedroom and a living room. My tour at Quincy Place was great. The facility was really nice, and it has a lot of windows; it just feels light and open. The people who work there are really passionate, and I think the staff was really accommodating to my family. I felt like they took a lot of time with us, and they're really trying to make sure it will be the right fit for her (rather than just trying to sell it). I really like the location. The overall feel of it felt really good, not like an elderly person home. It felt like there's more life, so I like that about it. They showed us a couple of units and asked us if we wanted any snacks. They said that if we wanted a meal, we could come back.

I pretty much liked everything about Quincy Place. I couldn't see anybody in there though. I liked the balcony, I liked how it was open, and I liked that it was clean. It didn't look like some low-income facility, and that's what I'm trying to avoid. I didn't want to be living in a low-income place where you got all these people with issues. It looked nice and clean. I had no problem. They gave me a gift, which I really liked. It felt homey. They had an exercise area.

We visited two additional facilities prior to selecting this one for my mom. It was important to us for her to keep what her current independence is intact. We were greeted with friendly staff faces and smiles and those that we did meet, both staff and residents, seemed so kind. Things in life change and sadly we had to move my mom out. I loved this place for her and enjoyed visiting her weekly for our movies and sleepovers and dinner in the dining room, mingling with friends. The staff members that we know; Cody, Candie, Terri and Michaela are wonderful. They truly do care about their residents and their best interests and how they are doing. We will miss what time we spent here and wish nothing but the best to those we have come to know and consider, "friends".... :-)

The staff at Quincy Place was fine. It's a community suited to someone much older and at a different stage than my friend. The person who gave me the tour was okay, and I don't have any negative views. The place looked clean and I don't think there's any concern about cleanliness. For the right person, the experience might have been better. Overall, I have a very positive impression of the place. They have a little space you can walk around which was nice, but it's nothing like the other community we visited.

We've lived in Quincy Place for more than 2 yrs now, it's independent living, and it's very nice. The staff is good, we have apartments, and there are lots of activities. We have meals three times a day, and there's ambulant service. We have bocce ball, therapy, and others. My room is beautiful with lots of air, lots of windows, and it's very bright and light. The dining area has windows all along one side. It's very light, has a lot of chairs, tables, and good food.

They had an exercise room and buses to take you to shopping, doctor's appointments, on excursions, or out to eat.

The visit at Quincy Place was fine, but we did not like the community. The biggest reason was that it's a smoking facility, and when you walk in you can smell the smoke. They're allowed to smoke in the rooms and that was unappealing to us. It's also not nearly as new or clean as the other community we saw, which was a big deal to us. Their apartment was small with a teeny-tiny kitchenette. It felt like economy living and not apartment living. The staff was fine; the person who assisted us was very nice and helpful.

Everybody seemed extremely nice at Quincy Place, and it looked like they were doing a nice job of taking care of residents. The dining area looked nice, and the studio room we toured was adequate. It looked like a fairly nice facility. The pricing was good, but the community fee seemed to be a little bit higher than some of the places we looked at. They have a workout area, and it looked like it would have fit my dad's needs for the most part. It was a little run-down and dated.

I toured Quincy Place, and I thought it was nice. The people seemed friendly, and it seemed like a location where you will be able to reach your person and get to them easily. You want the place to be centrally located, but you don’t want it to be so centrally located that it is hard to get to. Like there was one that was really difficult to navigate, which makes it hard when you are driving and trying to visit your person in your limited amount of time. But I didn’t find that with Quincy Place because it was conveniently located.

Quincy Place was a nice place, but my mother might need a little more assistance because they only have medical personnel on-staff during the daytime hours. Otherwise, I liked the place. Quincy Place is very nice and very good. The guy who took us around was really nice. I am not anywhere at this point needing it, but I went out and looked at one of them. It was way down near Colorado Springs, but the one my mother was in -- which is down on Broadway here in Denver -- is the same company. So I went out to that one and looked around it. It is very nice, and I got all the information. It is sort of a preemptive look at everything, and it is very nice. I noticed a lot of things, we looked in rooms, and we talked to people. At lunch time where everybody was eating lunch, people were talking all over the place. They were just having a nice time, so that is very nice. I really like the place. I thought I could live there and it could be a nice place. People were cheerful, and it seems to be a well-run place.

Quincy Place was a little too modern for my taste, but well I chose it because I could smoke in my room, and they -- like every other place I looked at -- have the help with the physical conditions. They handle the sheets and the towels, clean the apartment, and they help with transportation -- those things that I need that I can’t do for myself anymore. I think the management is what I like best about it because I felt comfortable with them. I really didn’t care about the activities. I have a chronic neck condition, and there are things I can’t do physically, so I needed to find some place that could help me out with those things, and they could. Again, I could smoke there, which was a very important thing to me.

Make sure your loved ones do not sign anything without having other family members present. They intice with inviting possible residents to a "show" then hit them with a high pressure sales. Once contract signed, it will cost close to $13,000 to get out of contract. Not upfront or honest. Terrible experience. Had to hire an attorney. They would not communicate with us at all or with the attorney.

Provider Response

Hi Jayzie, we regret to hear of your experience and are confident this does not represent our community as a whole. Our team is committed to communicating the terms of the contract prior to anything being signed. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you

Quincy Place impressed me the most. It had two floors. The reason why I couldn't forget them was because of how hospitable they were. They came and picked me up. They took me over there. They would serve you salad at first, then the main dish, and they would come around with coffee if you wanted. Then they would bring you your dessert, which was so nice, and the dining room was beautiful. Then they took me on a tour, and they just took their time with me. They were just hospitable and nice people. The person who took me around, Jacob -- I had never met anybody like him. He was so personable. I felt at home and comfortable with them. The environment was excellent. It was just a nice place. They showed me the rooms, and I was interested in a studio. However, although the studio was within my financial reach, they were exceptionally small. It was only 300 square feet. I said "No. It's just too small. I would not be comfortable. If you ever had another one that would be bigger, I would be interested." They showed me the store they had downstairs. They showed me the activity room, and they were having activities when I went there. So, I was able to sit down and watch them. They also told me about their van that, if you had some place to go or doctor's appointment, the van would take you there and wait for you, then would bring you back. They also took seniors on tours within the week. They had an activity sheet that they passed out to everybody so that they would know what was going on for the month, and you could just pick out what you wanted to do. I was there for a good half a day. Then Jacob brought me home, and it was a wonderful day.

I was impressed with the people that we met at Quincy Place. They seemed very friendly and caring. They seemed nice and happy. The dining room was very nicely appointed. However, I wanted a place where you had more flexibility and everybody didn't have to eat at the same time. This one had everybody eating at the same time. The rooms were a bit on the small size than what we were looking for. The activities were not the kinds that my mother would be interested in. There were people doing bowling and she's really not a game person. She would be interested in lectures. However, it may sound funny, but the educational level of the people that we met there wasn't as high as my mother's educational level. I just thought it was not the right place for my mother.

The only thing positive about Quincy Place is that they keep the place very clean. When I first walk in here the people were just really nice, but after I got move in here I found out really how they were. They are not helpful. They don’t go anywhere near me. There's just one girl that cleans my place, I really like her. The housekeepers are really nice. My room is just small. There's no storage for me to put anything. The food is awful. I never participated in the activities so I don’t know anything about them, but they do have activities. They play cards and they go out on trips to the stores. What I like best about this facility is they got some nice residents that live here.

The Quincy Place has independent and limited assisted living. I could live there. This facility is in my price range. The floor plan arrangements are all relatively new and, overall, they're nicely arranged. Their dining room was really clean; however, the only problem with it was their floor plan. It was right by the front entrance and not out of the central traffic area. Beyond that, the rest of the facility was really nice. It was also clean enough. They have like three floors. They did have limited elevators because they would like to cater more to independent people. The marketing lady who took us around was sweet as she could be. She was also very smart, very polite and seemed to care.

I like the ambiance here at Quincy Place. They have an atrium in the middle, it's really bright and nice. The room is adequate and big enough for me. It's well decorated. I really like it here. The residents are very nice and the staff is very helpful.

Quincy Place wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. Originally when I talked to them a couple of years ago, I thought that was the place I would be going to. Unfortunately, I was not enamored with it when I saw this facility personally. Their rooms were okay. The facility itself was bright and cheery, but it wasn't as nice as other facilities. I also didn't like their windows with the metal rim. With regards to the staff, we had to wait around to be accommodated. Anyhow, there was no availability at that time that was within my price range.

I stayed at Quincy Place and I had one bedroom with a balcony, bed and computer. I had three meals a day and the food was great. The manager and housekeeping staff were great. There were a lot of activities like bingo, poker, cards, exercise training, haircut, hand and foot massage, among others.

I liked Quincy Place. They had a park nearby where I could walk around. They had a small kitchen with a microwave in every room. They had lots of activities and I would recommend them to others.

Quincy Place was a very nice place. The staff were really good and friendly. The food was excellent. They had bingo, movie night, people came for activities and spoke to the residents. I liked that you felt like there was always someone closeby, so it won't make you feel lonely or isolated.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Quincy Place is no longer just an Senior Independent Living Place, the are allowing people who should be in Assisted Care, or need even more than Assisted into the facility, and expecting the current residences to help. I am in the process of finding a new place for my parents to live, they moved there over a year ago, and everything was fine until the last 6 months. They have one elevator, and 80% of the residents now need the elevator, and it is not always in working order. How do they expect people who are confined to a wheel chair to get down to the dining room?

Very impressed by the warm, friendly, caring atmosphere with a sunny, happy look as opposed to the dark, dreary, sad atmosphere at several places I visited. Excellent food with 4 different choices for the entrée at the noontime meal. I have made the decision to move here.

We were not impressed with the food. You don't get to choose your menu and you have to eat what was served.

Quincy has become a rip off.

Becoming expensive, rundown, more of a assisted living facility without assistance. They hire outside service and and it cost above and beyond. God forbid you go to the hospital and have to get home. The bus driver tells management when he and where he will drive. Food becoming sub par at best.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I thought that quincy place itself was a 3 star because the managers were very nice, the people were friendly and helpful but there were some issues. Like the ants in my grandmothers room that took the maintenence man 3 days to even get to. The leaking shower. Finally, after my grandfather passed and my grandmother was getting worse we hired a senior assisting company ( that worked within quincy place) to come to my grandmothers 24.7 and they cheated and lied about how often they came. The reason that I am marking quincy place down for this is because, they hired a company to service their residents if they needed help and in my opinion if they did their research on this "assisting" company they would have known it was a bad idea.
