I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother moved into Holiday Regency House 2 weeks ago. They provide 3 meals a day. They have a beauty salon, a barber shop, a post office, and an on-site washer and dryer. They have a patio and they have so many walking paths. They have someone that comes in and cleans her room. Her studio apartment has a phone jack for the phone, a cable television, a refrigerator, a walk-in shower, a sink, closets, and a dresser. She has her own balcony. They're remodeling some areas, like the media room and the library that they had before. The staff seems caring and there's always someone there to talk to. The food that I had was good. They have a variety to choose from. They have a lot of activities going on. Every day, they have something planned. They also go on outings.

My grandmother lived at The Regency House for 3 years. When we moved her in she was scared that she wouldn't like it. My grandmother passed away earlier this month. The love from the staff and the residence for my grandmother and my family was unmeasurable. The GM put together a beautiful memorial service for the residents to attend for my grandmother. The GM, Jeremiah officiated the service and also sang a lovely song. There was a beautiful resident choir that my grandmother was apart of that performed as a dedication to her. Jeremia, Vicki, Breanna, Marcia are amazing people and really care about the residents, I will always remember them.

Holiday Regency House was OK. It was just a cut below. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. The facility wasn't as spacious. It didn't have as much room and just the general amenity, the hallways were long and maybe a little darker, and it just wasn't as open and airy.

I toured Holiday The Regency House. It was a lovely facility with very nice people. I liked the staff who gave us the tours and the general manager, Paige, and Jeremiah. They were transparent in what they shared with us. The facility was clean, well-kept, and lively. The grounds were lovely. It was a nice place. All things considered, it would have been a good choice for us. They're about to go through a major renovation that's going to start in a few weeks and I think that renovation will address all the open areas.

Holiday the Regency House is not as nice as the other one. But it's well kept, and they're doing some updating. I had lunch there. The thing that they have there is that you have to have breakfast at a certain time, lunch at a certain time, and dinner at a certain time. I'm not really fond of that, but if you want to eat, I guess you're going to get there. They do assisted living, but they have an agency that comes in to do the skills that you need. It's independent living only, and they do not have assisted living. I'm not sure if the VA would do aid and attendance for that or not, so that's another question. The people that I met were very nice and friendly. The residents I had lunch with were super. The staff was very accommodating and very nice. The food for the day is set, and you can pick this one or that one, and then you have a few choices of what you have for dessert or if you want this kind of salad or that kind of salad. It's just not a wide variety. The food was good though. They didn't have as much going on, but they're willing to expand. I asked them about card games and so forth and they said, "Nobody is doing that, but you could start it up if you wanted to." They only had a couple of machines for exercising on, so that was kind of limited. Most of their apartments had either a balcony or a patio, so that was nice. The apartments themselves were pretty nice. The place was clean but it was not as up-to-date as some other places.

I toured Holiday The Regency House. It's a little older than the other places, it was nice but it felt like it needed some work. The lady that I was talking to said there are going to be renovations soon. The dining room seemed very basic as well as the rest of the facilities. It's not really a gym, but there's an area to do the movement. They didn't really have many facilities and there was no pool, there was no gym, and their game room just consisted of a small room with a couple of tables. I saw some of the actual rooms or apartments, and they too were just a little too basic. I was just looking for something a little bit more than that. They were like apartments but without a kitchen, just a sink with a mini-fridge, and a bathroom. They were more like studio apartments because there was no bedroom, the bedroom was a living room as well, you just had this separate bathroom and a little balcony. They had a beauty salon, but not much courtyard, it's just a roundabout where people come in or drop people off. There's an entrance with some benches but that was about it, there's really not too much on the outdoor space.

I like everything about Holiday The Regency House. What was good about it was that they came to the house and got me, and they brought me back home. That was an A-plus. They offered the same services. They have the physical therapy room where you could go work out. They have the barber-salon thing. The restaurant was nice. The rooms were nice. The tour guide was extremely nice. The manager that was on duty was nice. The Regency House was a much better place. The only thing about that was it was a little bit out of my price range. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The dining room was nice. It was a cozy area. It was a place to go and enjoy having lunch or dinner there. It's a slightly older facility and it's not brand new.

Holiday The Regency House was wonderful. If I was needing a place to go, that's where I'm going. I was impressed with the staff. They were very helpful and all my questions were answered. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. The food was delicious. They have everything you need. They have a chef, laundry service, arts and crafts activities, and different clubs.

My first impression of Holiday The Regency House was that it was nice. The grounds were nice and I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked in. They had a recreation room, a small gym, walking paths, many opportunities to get together, and separate rooms available if a family member wanted to stay over. The staff seemed to just really know and was aware of all of the residents. When I came into the hallway, there was engagement with both sides. Since it's independent, I might have thought that the staff was not paying attention, but they were. If a person walked down the hall, they would say hi to them and greet them by their names.

I toured Holiday The Regency House. I was impressed and I liked it. The grounds were well kept. The curb appeal was excellent. Beautiful buildings, beautiful grounds. When I walked in the door, the staff was immediately attentive to me, greeted me, and offered me refreshments. The young man that gave me the tour took me through the facility and everything like that. He was nice, courteous, and friendly. I liked the way that as the other residents were passing the hallways, he greeted and smiled at everybody. He just made everybody feel cared for and important. Excellent location. Good security measures within the facility. There were lots of activities planned. I hadn't seen any of course, but I was just made aware of them. They have up-to-date appliances and everything. I loved it. The staff really went into depths about my needs. He made me feel like he was looking out for my best interests. I really like that. He took his time. He offered solutions and options. He has a good, thorough job knowledge, and he had a good customer service demeanor. He also was friendly and helpful. The facility itself was spotless. People were walking around cleaning stuff that was already cleaned. There was a guy with a mask on wiping down stuff, and when we went to the cafeteria, and there was another guy down there cleaning in between the food preparation and everything, so I feel good about it. The room that I'm getting doesn't have a dinette, but it's got a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink. The bathroom has rails, and there's a walk-in shower, not the one where you have to step up in. It's very safe and accommodating for people that have disabilities. There's a queen-sized bed. The bedroom was nicely furnished and there was a patio with a safety rail and a screen door. You can enjoy it outside if you want to go outside. It's a covered patio. There was a TV on the wall, and cable was already set up in the room. As far as Wi-Fi, there's Wi-Fi in the common areas. But the staff said that they offer seniors a discount like $10 a month. If you want your own personal Wi-Fi for different things, you can have it installed, and I'm considering that.

My mother stayed at The Regency House. It was a great independent community environment. They had trips, bingo, board games, and different people coming in. They had a lot of activities. They had exercise, and the meals were very well planned. They don't cater to people with specific diets or meal plans, but as far as food preparation, delivery, and the staff, they're good. I had no problem. They had dining hall capability, and there were times, especially during the pandemic, when they brought the meals down to the residents' rooms and put them outside on a tray. They just had to come outside their door and get them. There's a laundry room, and they change the linen and towels weekly.

The tour to The Regency House went well. The staff seemed nice. I didn't get to meet a lot of the staff members. I pretty much just spoke with the sales manager or the manager on duty for the day, and we saw a few residents. They appeared to be happy, but we didn't speak with other staff members besides her. It's clean, three levels. They do have an elevator for that particular property that is kind of like a small apartment style. It's nice. You do have to add on services, though. Everything is not all- inclusive, but you do have to add on care services. So they have like their base price for the rent, which does include utilities and your meals, your three meals a day, and your snacks. But they have a company on site that you have to contract through to get your bathing, or if you need assistance, dressing, and whatnot, those are add-on services.

I toured The Regency House for my father. It was good. The employees were nice, but the facilities were old and dated. The rooms were decent size, but the furniture and the whole place was dated. It needed updating. It severely looked really old, not run down, but it's old. The place was clean, and everything was put together. I don't see anything that was broken or torn up. The staff were really nice, and they answered all of our questions. The dining area is cafeteria style, and it was clean. They gave us a pamphlet with all the activities, and they showed us a list of activities.

Provider Response

I visited The Regency House with a friend. It seemed to be quite good. Of course they couldn't tell us anything that was wrong, but I came away with a favorable opinion of it. I guess you could say, a hard sale; the person who was there was a very good sales person. My friend asked a lot of probing questions, and the answers were satisfactory. They invited me to an event, and I'm going back there this afternoon to participate in an activity. It looked like a pretty good size.

The common areas at The Regency House were very warm. It seemed like the air conditioning was set very high. The place was just average. I saw a couple of people out, but there's nobody that I spoke to. The rooms didn't have full kitchens, but they were all the different ones we looked at. It had a weird layout. It was small, choppy, and they didn't offer balconies on all of them (maybe because it's a much older building). The dining area was restaurant style. There was nothing special about it. They had a beauty salon too. The main activity rooms had a really nice kind of an outdoor covered sunroom, but it was just for storage stuff and things. They said that they are remodeling or doing whatever, but it looked like that stuff's been there for quite a while. It was dark and didn't have a lot of light in the buildings. They had exercise scheduled, and I saw a poster that they were doing an outing. It's just that the living atmosphere was gloomy. It was clean, but it was not a happy place. I don't even know how they could change some of the buildings. The room layouts they showed were bad, but then again, that's just the building. Overall, it just needs a refresh and upgrades altogether.

I toured Regency House for my mother, and I love the way they do the upkeep on the property. Even though it was an older building, it looks very modern. The staff who accompanied me on the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly; I think her name is Michelle. They had a workout room, a computer lab, a physical therapist and a hair salon on site, and a cafeteria. I think she said they had a swimming pool, but I didn't see that.

We took a tour of the Regency House for my mother, and we are not impressed at all. The place was old, and the lady that we talked to there was temporary. She wasn't even a permanent, she was there temporarily, so there were a lot of questions she didn't answer for us. We didn't like that place at all. The building was old, and it needed a lot of work. The carpeting was old in the hallways, and it was rundown looking, that one was not impressive.

My father moved into The Regency House last March. The number-one reason I chose it for him is how close it is to the VA facilities, since he is a veteran. I also chose it because of the amenities that they offer and the fact that they have an apartment available, because these places are hard to come by sometimes. The food service is three meals a day, and he likes the different activities over there. I like the fact that there are laundry facilities on every floor, so he could continue to do his own laundry. He gets his hair done there, so he doesn't have to go far to get that done. The grounds are very nice, too, and they have outdoor activities, as well. The community as a whole is very welcoming.

I toured The Regency House and it was good. It was a good place, and it seemed like a real possibility. They had very nice people, seemed to have things well organized, but I still have to understand their care. It's a third party kind of thing, so I have to research that. The rooms were really big, with balconies, and access directly outside. They had a workout space, dining room, and kitchen that's separate from the kitchen in the rooms. The grounds around it were very nice, with views out the windows, and access directly outside, which was nice.

They were very good in telling me those amenities that were available. The dining room was pretty much cafeteria-looking to me.

I am a resident of the Regency House Retirement Community for the last 6 years. I have enjoyed living at the community so very much. I have numerous friends who like to get together and play cards, chess, watch movies, exercise, or just socialize. The food at our community is wonderful. At every meal we get 4 choices to choose from and our chef is an amazing cook. I enjoy riding the bus to my doctor appointments at the VA and shopping. The community is located right down the road from the Atlanta VA. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to help each resident. I would recommend you visit this wonderful community for you or your loved one.

I am so pleased to call my mothers home the Regency House. Our experience was excellent. The community is very warming and caring. The residents were all very friendly and made my mom feel at home. The room we got is amazing with a beautiful covered patio. Right out side my moms room is beautiful gardens and a walking path. I was so pleased to see my mother so very happy. At the time of our visit the residents were doing exercise. The Regency House is an all exclusive community (everything is included). It makes me so happy to know mom has found a community that she enjoys.

I had a good experience at Regency House. I've been there before, and the room was adequate, and everything was fine. The dining area was nice, and it looked fine. I talked to one person, she was very friendly, very nice, and very outgoing. I think she also helped with physical therapy, and she showed me around. They'll take you to doctor's appointments, they have games, a beauty parlor, and you can get your hair done. However, I live 50 miles from there, but my daughters were down there, and that place used to be around for a long time. They need updating.

I did not like The Regency House. It was not bad; it just wasn't right for me. I came from living in a three-bedroom house for myself, so it felt too small and too cramped. It was clean and in a nice location, but it seemed to be crowded. The activities were pretty limited. Everything was in the one building. They had a community room, a laundry room, a library, and a game room. It was more of a hotel-type of thing, and they had the outside and you can go outside, but it was not a community that you can walk in. But other than that, it was great. We’re actually living at The Regency House. It has helped my husband a great deal. We have the usual little things with the staff. Like some weeks, housekeeping doesn’t come, and it is usually because our housekeeper is sick, but I don’t understand why that keeps us from housekeeping. The food is OK. The place is pretty nice. It has been a very difficult adjustment for me, but it has really helped my husband a lot. We have only been here since December, but the management has changed 2 or 3 times. Most of our concerns are taken care of pretty quickly, but I don’t think any place could do any better.

We visited The Regency House before my sister passed away. The staff didn't know that my sister and I were coming to look at the property. Even though they had a temporary management team there, no one was available for the appointment. I was disappointed with their lack of management. The rooms and apartments seemed to be of good sizes, but they could use an update, especially with the paint and carpeting. The residents were eating lunch at the time we visited. I saw on the board that they had some outings and games, such as bingo and puzzles, planned for the residents.

The Regency House staff is cool. They have a separate health entity. Even if you lived there and you needed health coverage, you have to go to a separate company that is housed in that facility there. They have a nice spot -- a nice TV room with books and stuff. There is a lobby area with a fireplace. They seem to have activities almost daily. It looked nice, and the people seem to be nice. The food was good, and the dining facility is nice. They kind of did it like a restaurant style. The people are dressed like waiters and waitresses, and they come and offer one of three entrees.

It seemed older, but I like the larger rooms. It had a garden outside. One of their apartments I looked at had a balcony which I like because I like to look at the birds. The food was fine; you had some choices. The staff seemed fine to me. What stood out to me was the lively conversation that was going on in the dining room. There were a lot of elderly people there, but they were active. They had established a newsletter that goes out every week and they did it themselves. They had all kinds of activities. They thought to involve the clients.

I visited this facility

We had a good visit at The Regency House. The facility was clean. The director was very nice, very knowledgeable and seemed to know a lot about elderly care, dementia patients in particular. They invited us for lunch, and we had lunch there. They were having a Hawaiian luau and they decorated the place in a Polynesian theme. They served chicken with pineapple and they also had different choices in the menu. I was surprised because the residents weren't just served with one thing, they could choose from a couple of different items. The food was presented well and it was very tasty. We participated in one of their social activities where they had someone singing oldies songs. The place seemed very alive, and there were a lot of social activities going on. The residents seemed to be happy.

I visited this facility

We went to the Regency House to visit it and have lunch. The food was good. The staff was very nice. If my mom were to change her mind, that is the one she was wanting to go to. They had bingo. They had art classes and stuff that my mom was interested in.

I visited this facility

I went to The Regency House for a visit, and the place was nice, but it's just not for me. The staff were great. They were very polite, informative, and very pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. Their apartments were clean and well lit. It had a fairly good amount of sunlight. It is going to be repainted before the next occupant goes in. It was all in good condition, and I couldn't think of anything negative about it.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The personnel at The Regency House seemed to be concerned about the situation that my mother is in and they have all the right answers. They are very helpful, friendly and very attentive. The rooms are small but nice. They have everything she needs. I have several meals there and the food is good. They have activities for every person. They have bingo, arts and crafts, outings, aerobics, movie nights and so many other things. The facility is a little pricey. If the price is a little cheaper, that will help.

I visited this facility

The Regency House was a mixed and active community with lots of people in there and that was the thing that I like about it. They have a whole list of activities for their residents. The facility is located in a suburban town, so all their needs are around the corner basically. They have beautiful landscaping there. Their rooms were larger, the staff was really courteous and the food was good. My aunt liked this one better than the other facility.

I visited this facility

I was just giving a friend of mine a reference for The Regency House because I have visited this place last December. I liked that facility very much. The location was great. At the time of my visit there, they had decorated the place for the season and it was very beautiful. They had gardens all around for people to walk around. There was an opportunity for their residents to plant and they can have their own little garden there. It was good that they had that kind of activity. The staff was very nice and they were wonderful people. The Regency House was just an excellent place.
