I thought Jordan Oaks was great. They had a nice little party there, and there were still a lot of people sitting around in that area. Most of them, as we went by, spoke to us. Then the lady who was the manager took us around and showed us different parts of the building. They have cooks that cook three times a day and serve the meals. Then she took us up to the room that was available at that time and showed it to us. It was very nice. It had two bedrooms and a large living/dining room. It was actually on the floor level, and it had a small balcony. It actually had a door close to the apartment where you could go out directly there. Like in our case, we have a vehicle, and so we could park close by, and then my husband could drive it and pick me up from just outside the apartment. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice, and so pleasant. She called me back the next week to see how we felt about the apartment that was available, and that she had another apartment. The dining area was big. They had the party that day. The manager had saved us some desserts, and so I sampled all of them. The desserts were really good. I like the layout of the way it's built. The grounds were well-kept too.

Jordan Oaks was pretty nice. I liked the area very well. The staff member who assisted me was pretty good. She knew what she was doing. We talked for a while and she explained what's going on down there. Everything looked pretty clean to me. I saw a couple of apartments and they looked pretty good to me. They had a salon.

Jordan Oaks Gracious Retirement Living was very nice, but I don't think it was as nice as the other place. Everything was pretty close together. The apartments were nice as well, but you cannot have a stove in your apartment. The apartment has a small refrigerator, a sink, and a little kitchenette. The staff who toured us was nice, but I felt like there was a lot of interruption at that place. If the door had been shut, there wouldn't have been as much interruption, but she was good at explaining it and taking us around. They had patios. There's a very nice scenery as far as the way it looked in the back of it where you would lounge or whatever on the patio.

We're currently living in Jordan Oaks. I like it a lot. I'm very happy here. I am not happy with the food, but then I'm a vegetarian, so I'm not happy anywhere. We are across the hall from Legacy, which is the therapy group and they are awesome. The staff here all seem very, very nice, very kind, very considerate and take care of us pretty good. When we first moved in, we lived on the third floor in a one-bedroom suite and loved it. It was beautiful. It was like living in a tree house because it had windows everywhere and all you see was the tops of trees, and I thoroughly enjoyed that. But they moved us down to the first floor after about two years, mostly to be closer to therapy, because my husband needs a lot of therapy and because I help him a lot, I end up needing a lot of therapy. They've been working on my balance and my back since I got here. It's a nice room and I like it. But, you know, it's just not as pretty as the tree house one, but it's very close to everything. And it's also the side of the building where you have a door, you can go outside and we have a van with a ramp, and is parked right outside of the room. So that's handy, too. I have met a lot of nice people, and made some good friends. All that's nice. They're doing a lot of renovations now. They're planning to recarpet and re-floor things right after Christmas. I'm a member of a sewing group and they had a party a couple of weeks ago and that was fun. We've had several parties since we've been here, and they've all been fun. And the new director is doing a better job of getting us out of the building and giving us opportunities to go eat at different places and to go places.

I had an in-person tour of Jordan Oaks. I like the location and the cost. I liked the services included for that cost. I like the cleanliness and friendliness of the people there. We saw some residents doing a puzzle. They showed me a one-bedroom and a studio. They looked great. I think the one-bedroom would be perfect for my dad. We saw an exercise room, a movie room, a dining room, an activity room, and a laundry room. They pointed out that they have a barbershop and beauty salon in the facility. We looked at the menu, and the offerings looked very good.

Jordan Oaks was our second choice. It's very close to where we were. They have a refrigerator, stove, so they could make themselves a quick breakfast, but just no oven. They had patios.
