Shirley has been an exemplary caregiver and has gone above and beyond of her job description every time. A staff member remarked "I wish she was my mother". Shirley sets the standard for all a caregiver can and should be. Her dedication to her clients goes beyond what is required by the care plan. Again, every time.

During a devastating ice and snow storm in Oct, 2012, where most electricity and heat in Western Mass was out, Shirley continued to take care of her clients in an Independent community by providing blankets, sweaters and companionship throughout the ordeal. She worked around the clock and was very helpful to other residents who were in need of assistance.
