Senior Helpers

Now in its fifth year of operations, Senior Helpers provides non-medical in-home care to the elderly on a private pay basis. Service is provided throughout Lower and Upper Coastal Fairfield County plus the cities of Orange and Milford in New Haven County.

Senior Helpers is an employee based, no independent contractors are utilized, agency led by Tim Daniels, President, and Marie Schilling (formerly Diaz) who is the Director of Operations.

Prior to Senior Helpers, we (Marie and Tim) matured our client service and business management skills through many years at IBM leading professional services practices. We have taken our ability to personalize service, expertise in process management, project management, and quality control and synthesized them into a systematic approach to providing reliable and on-target home based care for the elderly. Complementing our skills is the knowledge our RNs and subject matter experts, in our focus areas, bring to cases.

Our competitively priced service is delivered through proven yet personable caregivers who have had their backgrounds and driving records thoroughly screened. They are bonded and insured employees. New hires also take cognitive and behavior tests to assist in determining if they are suited to the position.

While providing care, the caregivers look to engage personally with the elderly for the enjoyment of everyday life. In additional to companionship and general care, we offer services tailored for the in-home care of individuals with Alzheimer's/Dementia, severe Arthritis, or Low Vision.

Our ability to deliver is substantiated by an independent client satisfaction survey dated November 2011 and performed by Home Care Pulse. The survey conveyed an average 12 months client satisfaction rating for Senior Helpers of 90 out of a possible 100 points. Ninety-three (93%) percent of Senior Helpers ` clients were willing to refer us and 96% indicated that service was being delivered as promised.
