OUR STORY

Years ago, after moving to our new home, I knocked at the door of my neighbor to introduce myself. The lady that answered the door was the oldest person I had ever seen outside of a hospital or nursing home! She invited me in and I quickly found myself lost in conversation for the next 2 hours....and I instantly loved her. She was 90 years old at the time and still living independently in her home. As the years passed my love for her became as strong as if she was family. Her health slowly began to fail and we found ourselves spending more and more time at her home helping her with daily activities. Eventually we were spending up to 8 hours a day at her home and frequently spending the night. At this point we knew that we couldn’t really provide the full-time care that she needed and all of us decided that hiring a professional caregiver was the best decision....that was a difficult time. Our friend has since passed away but we were honored to help her stay in her home 5 years longer than she would have been able to do otherwise. The time I spent with her was a blessing and made such an impression on me that I founded A Helping Hand Senior Care to provide the loving care that all seniors need and deserve.

OUR CARE EXPERTISE

We are the ONLY local company with licensed Nurse Practitioner on call for our caregivers 24/7. She also trains our caregivers and reviews our client's daily progress notes. Our caregivers are required to pursue the CCA designation (Certified Companion Aide) and continually receive training specific to your situation. We take our training very seriously.

We are proud to be locally owned and operated. Care giving situations often change quickly and we are prepared to respond since we don't have the operating restrictions of franchise. We do not answer to a large corporation. We answer to you.
