I am a past client of this provider

Can't say I have been impressed with their services, communications or billing.

Let's start with services. . .if you can call it that. On two separate occasions we had two different care givers leave during the middle of the night stating that they had a sick child at home. Sorry, but your job does not afford you the luxury of leaving during your shift, especially at night. Can you imagine the terror a senior would feel waking up to a stranger, especially during the night.

There were a couple of care providers that would perform the duties Caring Senior Services said they were to do, but the majority would rather sit on the couch, watch TV or play with their cell phones. Several times my mother would be calling from the bedroom and my sister or I would have to get the care provider's attention and tell them she was calling them. Imagine what it would be like if we were not there to monitor what was taking place.

Punctuality is another issue. A care giver leaving on time was never an issue. Showing up on time was another story. Several times the care giver would be anywhere from 15 minutes late up to an hour late. Many times, a care giver would leave before their relief showed up. Once, one care giver had to take the night shift care giver home because she had no transportation, 30 minutes of services billed but not received. My sister and I were still with my mother we were able to fill in the gaps. This is likely not the case for most seniors requiring their services.

Smoking is another problem. None smoked in the home, however the lingering order does not go away. More than a few times my mother would require their help and they would either be outside or in their car smoking.

My mother requires assistance getting up and down. This fact was documented on Caring Senior Service's printout paperwork. So who does Caring Senior Service send as a care giver? One who had a workman's compensation back injury and another who was recovering from a broken pelvis and still using a cane to get around. We called Caring Senior Services immediately. Which brings us to the billing issues we have had with Caring Senior Services.

Check any bills from them carefully. My mother was charged for hours, not worked, from the two of the care givers who left during the night and for all the 15, 30, 45 60 plus minutes a care giver was late. Additionally, we were billed an hour for the care giver using the cane, when we specifically told them we were not going to pay for that hour, which we were billed for.

Bottom line . . .Senior Caring Service is NOT a company I would recommend, especially if you are not in the senior's home to monitor what is actually going on.

On time for consultation, very professional, answered questions. Potential clients were not ready for the services as yet. However, during the consutlation, the representatives had promised to purchase two meals from the potential client (she had mentioned that her Senior group was selling meals as a fundraiser) and when the client delivered the meals, the office was closed, no contact was made by service. Client was disappointed and had to purchase the meals herself. This had a very negative impact on these potential clients (if they promise this and not follow through, what else could be left wanting?).
