Visiting Angels - Florida

We used the services of Visiting Angels for my aunt. All the caregivers worked out well. They took good care of my aunt. But I didn't like the owner's attitude towards the need to transfer my aunt to a facility because she was very old. When I asked for opinions or suggestions, he got defensive. Also, one caregiver wanted to maximize the 24 hours assistance I asked from the agency. The caregivers should be shifted for 24 hours. I thought they needed to improve their customer service. I was happy with the care but not with the agency.

The service by Visiting Angels is good but not as good as it was in the beginning. The aid doesn't work hard as she used to. She watches TV after the day, but other than that I can see her giving companion care to my parents. She's there every day, comes on time, very reliable and looks after my parents. That's all I really care about anyway. I would recommend it to those who can afford it, because it's not cheap.

We are using Visiting Angels for my aunt and uncle. My aunt already passed away. They had been helping them out prior to my aunt's passing. I had been very satisfied as to what they were doing so we continued and used their help right along. I find them very responsive to phone calls. If I raise any issues or questions they either give me an answer immediately or call me back in a very short time. I find Wayne's assistant there, her name is Joanne, extremely helpful and cooperative. The care they had provided for my aunt was superior.

The caregivers are very kind and loving. They are still caring for uncle who has dementia. Up until the past year, he was ambulatory. Now, he is not. He's 99 years old. He's very well taken care of. All his medical needs are met. They take him to doctors when necessary. I'm very satisfied of the quality of their care for him.

Visiting Angels were on a list of providers that the rehabilitation hospital recommended to us. I think I interviewed 2 companies and I was really impressed with Wayne. He seemed very engaged and had established a good relationship with my daughter. He seemed very concerned in providing the correct caregiver for her. Somebody who would be a match and who would work as opposed to just have one body there to take care of your daughter. So that was impressive and now it's been years already and we had some caregivers at times that didn't work out for various reasons. One time, Wayne came over himself to watch my daughter while waiting for the caregiver to come because something came up. Right now, we were able to find a caregiver that matched up with my daughter. She's been with us for 3 years now. She helps her with personal needs like transfers to the toilet, shower, set her meals, makes sure that my daughter is taking the medications, accompanies her to doctor's appointments or to the gym. She goes with her to social events when needed. She goes with her to school and helps her in the bathroom when she needs it or packing up her backpack. They're really accountable. They really care about what they do. I find them very professional.

I know the owners of Visiting Angels personally. This is the main reason why I let them take care of my my mother. The caregivers that they sent out were all excellent with their job. They help my mom with personal care, cooking and other light house keeping. My mom is very comfortable with them around.

The caregivers are excellent. They care about my mom personally and have established a relationship with her. They go above and beyond because they care about her personally. It's not like it's a job that they show up at. I think that makes a big difference. My mom has been with them for two and a half years. I am happy and satisfied with their service for my mom. She has 5 caregivers and they provide 24-hour care. They do absolutely everything for her. She's in the last stages of Alzheimer's. She can't move basically. They have to move her every 2 hours. She was actually walking when she first entered the program and now she's come to the point where she can hardly move.

I had another provider and they were the worst ever. I saw Visiting Angels on TV and I called them and they got back to me the same day. We don’t have any problems with the caregivers that we have. A couple of them were really good. They get lunch for my father and take him outside and to the exercise room. He has Parkinson’s and they are all attentive to all of his needs.
