We needed some help with my MIL who has dementia, her companion, Jessica, was an absolute gem, not sure how I would have survived those couple of months without her. I will say that there were times when I had requested a return from certain people but for whatever reason my call was never returned, apparently voice mail is non-existent. I had to go to the top guy and complain about the lack of concern from his office employees. I also had some concerns about the cost because the service is extremely expensive and after just a few months I realized we would have to look at other options that were more cost effective for our needs.

My mother was resistant to having a caregiver and now she is one of my mom’s best friends. She helps my mom around the house, makes meals and walks with her. She has allowed my mom the opportunity to stay in her home. Home Instead and our caregiver are great!

We use Home Instead to help care for my mom (88) and she really enjoys the companionship of Elias, Taylor, Leigh and Heather. They are all very kind, thoughtful and attentive. My mom especially enjoys when they take her on walks, on outings (to museums and the zoo) , and shopping. They also help her with her laundry! All of the caregivers are punctual and cheerful. The office staff at Home Instead is VERY helpful and they always respond quickly with any changes that might need to be made (Morgan and Alex - thank you for all of your help)! Thanks!!

My father has a caregiver who comes to his home 4x a week. She is extremely kind and patient with him, making sure he maintain good hygiene and is properly fed and medicated. She is 100% reliable and it is easy to reach both her and the agency. Takes a great deal of stress off of our family.

At the beginning of the year, I could see that my 92 year old parents needed additional assistance in the home. I vetted a number of organizations and chose Home Instead. They have been taking care of my parents since the end of March. Their leaders find good quality people to work in people’s home. They are responsive to needs for changing schedules and providing advice as we are new to this need to take care of my parents. They are skilled in choosing people for us that will match my parents personalities. We have had thee care providers who come for 8 hours each day throughout the week. All three of them, Bishnu, Merima and Dalan have been excellent. They clearly care for my parents, help them in the home, and drive them to appointments. My parents were against the idea of having this service and now they love it. Without this service, we would likely have had to move them to an assisted care facility. Our caregiver is dependable and always arrives on time. Providing meals, personal care, rides to appointments, lunch and coffee outings, and visits with friends are only some of her responsibilities. The agency provides all the services we need. The caregivers arrive on time. Our current caregiver, Stevie, goes above and beyond in everything she does and the entire family is thankful for how caring she is with our parents. We would be hard pressed if we had to get along without her. We've also been happy with all the other caregivers that have been in to help. The agency has addresssed all our needs and requests in a timely manner and the staff at the agency is very kind and understanding of any special needs we have had since we have been with them.

Mom is 98+ and I live with her. For the most part I've been helping her since she fell in late 2019, but about a year ago, after a compression fracture and hospital stay then in-house rehab, the load became too great. Home Instead came during the nights when we first got her home again, and now, for several months, we've had them come 3 days a week, helping with showers, walks, visiting, light housekeeping, I'm able to take better care of myself both physically and mentally. Peggy has been such a blessing, her taking on Mom's care week after week. I can leave the house and feel totally at ease leaving Peggy to manage anything Mom might need. Peggy has become more than a relief caregiver, she has become a trusted friend. If the schedule needs to change one week, Peggy has been totally accommodating. Any call I make to the home office has been cordial, and always successful. I would definitely recommend Home Instead, but I selfishly want to keep Peggy to ourselves, for she is a real treasure !

Very friendly, responsive. and competent. Structured in-home care to fit the needs of my elderly Mother, and not the otherway around (i.e. my Mother did not have to adjust her life to fit the in-homecare. Very happy with Home Instead. Their GrandPad is a customized iPad with simplified user interface. My mom was a self proclaimed techno-phob, but she uses her grandpad regularly to listen to music, post photos, comment on photos and videos. Last Friday she initiated a video chat with her granddaughter in Germany!

The agency provides a caretaker for my husband who has dementia. The caretakers do for the most part arrive on time, and I am notified if one is going to be late. The caregivers from Home Instead are fine. They show up on time, and they leave on time. They’re very cooperative. They’ll do stuff that you ask them to do cheerfully. They’re nice. I think the lady that comes to visit my mother-in-law from Home Instead is very pleasant. We have been using them for six weeks now. I like the fact that they had to do training. They kind of already have ideas about what they should be looking for and so forth, but they don’t do any medical things.

I chose Home Instead for my mom and dad because mainly I like the woman that I spoke to. She would stay on the phone with me for a long time, and she listens to what our needs were. They also were just a little bit less expensive than some of the others. We started out 24/7 care, and we went through a few caregivers. There are probably three that did not work out, but now she has three caregivers that are alternating days, and she is very happy with them. They help with her physical therapy and walking. They do cooking and cleaning as well. They have been so good in trying to accommodate our needs.

We’re using Home Instead Senior Care, and they’ve been very good. The person who comes is very nice, patient, and considerate. He does a good job of doing whatever he’s asked to do. We’re only using them on a short term basis for a few hours every 2 weeks.

Home Instead helped my family through the most difficult time of our lives when my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Although we had home hospice, it was Home Instead that was there for us 24/7 until Mom died 12 days after her diagnosis. HI's capable caregivers guided us on how to care for Mom in her last days, and with their support we had more time to be with Mom. In such a confusing situation, we didn't know what to do - but HI's caregivers knew, and stepped in unsupervised to show us how they could help. What a gift they are.
