Home Instead in home care in Chicago, Illinois is a great in home care provider. They provide Non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and healthy. The in home staff can help with showering, meal preparation, making and keeping appointments, medication assistance and even companionship. My friend was not ready to leave her home but needed extra assistance to complete daily tasks. Home instead allowed my friend to remain in her home instead of being placed in assisted living. I was very happy with her worker. I was most happy to see my friend doing well in her own home. I would recommend Home Instead.

My mother has severe Alzheimers and she has received nothing but the best care from the Home Instead agency. Mom has had several wonderful caregivers from this agency over the past several years, and her current caregiver has been helping her for over a year.Home Instead has always been there for us, and they have followed through even at the last minute , as well as supporting Mom and our family throughout her numerous hospitalizations and medical crises. We couldnt have asked for a more caring and supportive agency.

As a result of a pretty bad stroke, Home Instead was hired to care for my brother. The intitial contact with this coompany was very professional. The staff in the office was particularly helpful with explaining the care which would be provided. It's conveniently located, should the need arise to go into the office.

Once the care started, I was thrown back at how helpful the lady was. In addidtion to the ""work"" she was doing, she was actually a nice companion for him. There were never any worries of dishonesty, nor did any problems ever arise. After seeing the professionalism and people skills this worker had, it appeared as though the training program given at Home Instead was a very thorough one. She was also well groomed. It had not been long since the stroke, and my brother could not do much at all for himself- so it was very relaxing to have a little time off to do other things while being able to trust that he was in good hands.

I didn't really find anything to be disturbing about the company. The only negative was after ending the services for a while, we decided to reach out to the company for additional services, unfortunately we were told that it was not possible to be assigned the same worker. No additional information was given as to why, and at the time I was a bit disappointed. My brother was comfortable with her, and we really didn't want to take a chance with a new preson. We decided against getting services at that time, mainly because he was a lot better, and was pretty much doing everything on his own.

In closing, I would like to re-emphasize that the service was great and professional, the staff was helpful, and the location is very convenient. It is my hope that my brother continues to improve and remain able to care for himself. However, should the need arise, I would definitely go back to Home Instead based on our prior experiences with the company.
