Home Helpers was established in 2003 by Denis and Libby Ashauer who recognized their parent's desire to stay at home as long as possible.

At HOME HELPERS we realize this may be the first time for families looking for services to keep their loved ones independent and safe while at home. I also realize the difficulties of navigating the eldercare network. My background as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) can save you wasted time and needless frustration. We offer a broad spectrum of care focused on helping people stay at home.

Care Management services are provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) and include medication management, accompanying client to doctor visits, advocating for the client concerns, facilitating family meetings, provide home or facility check-in visits. The RN can perform an Initial Assessment. The RN will provide a written report and create a personalized care plan based on needs and preference of the client. The RN will assist with setting up services and/or coordination of services.

Personal Cares services provided by a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or specially trained caregiver under the supervision of the Registered Nurse:

• Bathing
• Personal Cares (dressing, feeding, grooming)
• Skin Care & nails
• Breathing exercises
• Supervise & encourage exercises
• Life enriching activities
• In addition to Supportive Home Care services

Supportive Home Care services:

• Meal prep
• Laundry
• Transportation to appointments
• Grocery Shopping
• Light housekeeping
• Change bedding
• Companionship
• Many other home care services.

We also provide:

• "Push the Button for help" units
• Automated Medication Dispensers
