They have provided me with several inadequate caregivers before, but the caregiver I have now is a gem. A lot of times, I don't have to prompt my caregiver for the things to do that she helps me with. She works with the system very well. Sometimes I'm not able to really help her do her duties because of my back, but she carries right on. My caregiver is the best of the best.

I've had other services and they weren't good in caring at all. They just tell my father what to do and that's it. They weren't caring and helpful. Home Helpers has been really good in caring for my father. They were recommended to me by someone. I have been very pleased with their care. The caregiver is very good with my mother. I don't have any problems with them. I believe the caregiver gets proper training. She's really good with Alzheimer's patients. Every time I call them, they always answer my calls or call me right back. They're very nice. I like them.

When we needed some help, my husband knew of someone who owned an in-home care company. Unfortunately that company did not service this area so he referred us to Home Helpers and Direct Link. They really accommodated me. A lot of times I give them short notice. Dad had dementia so they would make sure that he ate and bathed. They would make sure that he took his medicine. We had them for 3 years.

A co-worker of mine used their service for her father. We've had them for my dad for a few years now. They've been very accommodating. They always go the extra mile for him. We feel very happy to have them. Right now they only come twice a week but when he was in the hospital they were coming 7 days a week at one point. My dad's blind and he's 89 years old. He doesn't get around very well. The caregiver that we have most of the time is very kind. She's almost like family to us. Nancy is the one that I have had contact with. If I call with questions and she doesn't answer the phone, she would call me right back. She's very responsive. If there's something different from the normal routine going on, she's been very attentive about that. I've been very happy with her.

Home Helpers was close in the area and they had been recommended to us. They've been taking care of my mother for the last 2 years since she had a stroke. Initially we had them for 24 hours a day and now it's down to 8 hours hours a day. I think that they're doing a great job. The caregivers are very good. I often talk to Nancy over the phone and I find her very responsive.

Home Helpers was recommended to me by Gentiva and I had that service but they were cutting back and not doing a full service. They were doing just bed baths and so they referred Home Helpers to me. They seemed to try to accommodate me when there's a problem with any one person. They'll change people when needed. There's this one person that we need to change so she's not coming anymore. They're very good about trying to accommodate me. Another thing was from the very beginning, they taught people how to lift me and I like that. I am paraplegic and I have to be lifted. I have had them since the end of 2007 and so it's been 5 years that I am with them. They do whatever I need including light housekeeping many other things. I am very happy with them.
