VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of New Jersey West

In 2010, my mother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was transferred to this facility to spend her final days. The level of care provided by their staff was one to rave about. They were amazing with her, so much that she actually improved and was sent home for another two months. Their care and attention helped us enjoy her a little longer. When she was transferred back, and passed they were so helpful with her arrangements, we couldn't have asked for a better place. Our experience there is definitely one we will never forget. Our family will be forever grateful for the piece of mind we were able to have, while she was in their care.

This organization of professionals from the nurses, aides, home health aides, chaplain, were wonderful caring individuals that helped not only the patient, my mother; but her grown children. The level of professionalism was as equal as their unwaivering care. It was a wonderful experience that helped the entire family.

I would NOT recommend Vitas Innovative Hospice Care in Mount Laurel because they treated my mother in law with no respect. My mother in law needed food through her feeding tube and she had to wait 2 days before she received it because they claimed their policy was to only give her a few cans because if she passes away they will not be able to take the food back. But when we said we were going to change hospice care they sent over 2 PACKS of food. What happened to their policy now?? Also, she needed her lung drained and they did not order the correct drainage bag when we TOLD the manager the correct part number so my mother in law had to suffer breathing over night because of their incompetence!!!! It seemed like the front office could care less about my mother in law they just wanted her money. So if you want a CARING hospice team I would NOT recommend Vitas.
