I was very impressed with VITAS Hospice. They have nurses who are available to answer questions via telephone around-the-clock; who are very knowledgeable about symptoms related to the patient's current diagnosis.
They were able to give advice over the phone on how to relieve patient symptoms without using extra medicine or making a visit to the ER necessary. The nurse took her time, explained everything, and knew exactly what she was talking about. I was very impressed with VITAS' after-hours help line.
